I’m looking for help finding a relatively recent book that I only read the description and a short sample of. I was interested enough to think that I wanted to read it, but apparently that wasn’t enough to make me remember any other details about the book, including where the heck I’d run across the description.
So here’s what I have: It’s a small town setting, I believe. Heroine is riding down the road on her bicycle (wearing a dress, I think) on her way to pick up some letters from the post office or a mail drop or something. The letters are dropped off by people in the area for some reason…lonely hearts, local advice column, maybe a contest of some sort? She’s off to collect them and go do something-or-other with them. Anyway, she’s pedaling along, happy as a clam, and the hero happens to see her whiz by and is fairly smitten by the sight of her. He might be sitting at a gas station when he sees her, possibly gassing up his motorcycle? I think the description of the book hints at some kind of “she’s wonderful, but way too good for the likes of me” angst in the storyline, but I really don’t remember for certain. Also, she may or may not crash her bike. I honestly can’t remember if she does or if that was just my brain supplying a possible next set of events for after the book sample ended.
That, unfortunately, is the sum of my information about this book. Going to the beach soon, and I’d love it if I could get some help finding the book so I could take it with me.

Instead of giving me a mental picture of a woman riding a bicycle, my mind immediately leapt to a woman vrooming through town on a motorbike. I’d read THAT book! Do we have any female MC member books out there?
I don’t know the answer but this sounds like it’d be right up my alley. I really hope someone finds out!
This sounds really familiar. Like one of the first Kristen Ashley books I ever read. Maybe Raid? Chapter 2 has the heroine riding her bike to the store to pick up medicine and catfood for her grandmother where she runs into the hero. And there’s also a small info dump about package and shipping stuff.
It reminds me of one of Victoria Dahl’s books. ‘Looking for Trouble’ but I see she also has a new one I haven’t read that might also be the one. It’s called ‘Taking the Heat.’

That sounds a lot like a scene from the opening chapters of Raid by Kristen Ashley: small town, wholesome girl carrying a torch for the town’s favorite son-turned hard-bitten vet. He first notices her riding through town on a ridiculously girlish bike; she’s winsome but awkward, trips over her feet in the town store, and he helps her up, is drawn to her but sure she’s too sweet for him. Sound like what you’re remembering?

Oh! I’ve read this!! It’s either Anythhng but Sweet by Candis Terry or it’s love at first sight by Lori Wilde. I can’t remember if it’s the Cupid, Texas or Sweet Texas series since I read them around the same time.

I have to say the other suggestions sound interesting, too. That’s the “trouble” with HaBO: all the book suggestions that sound so intriguing.
