I am sorry I missed this! But this is what I get for having surgery. 😉 (It went well and I’m home on a fleet of painkillers!) I hope everybody had an awesome discussion!
I’m just reading through the chat now. I just finished the book late last night and didn’t want to be spoiled (it got an A from me!). I was really stressed reading it, and was telling my husband about the plotline. He’s a huge Civil War nerd, and got mad I hadn’t told him about it earlier. He exclusively reads nonfiction, so this the first romance book I’ve convinced him to read, and I didn’t even have to do any convincing.
Also, the fact that there’s going to be a book set during Sherman’s march is going to make him cry tears of joy.
I just finished reading late last night and it was soooooo good! I wish I’d finished in time for the chat. Next time!
Just wanted to say thank you for hosting this chat! I had to dip in and out because I was trying to put kids to bed while it was going on, but the part I caught was fantastic!! Loved this book and I usually don’t read historical, so it was a real departure for me. Can’t wait for book 2!
