Hello! This is a friendly reminder that I will be moderating a panel at the 2017 Deckle Edge Literary Festival in Columbia, South Carolina, this Saturday, February 25, 2017!
The screening of Love Between the Covers will begin at 1:30pm, and then after a brief break, I’ll be moderating a panel featuring authors Synithia Williams, Kim Boykin, Cheris Hodges, and Mimi Milan.
We’re going to talk about the film, about writing romance, get information on their upcoming books, and more. There will be a book signing afterward, too!
The documentary gives me all the warm fuzzies every time I see it, so if you’re in the mood for a fun afternoon and a big friendly mental hug in documentary form, I hope you can join us!

Alas, I don’t have any footage or pics of the panel itself, as I was moderating, but it went so well! The documentary is always so enjoyable for me, like a big hug from a bunch of people I know. I’m not sure if it’s available in the UK but I hope it is – it’s streaming bloody everywhere here.
I can say that if you have a chance to hear Amy Boykin, Synithia Williams, or Cheris Hodges speak, you should absolutely do so, because they are that excellent combination of wise and hilarious. They barely needed me to do anything as moderator – they were terrific!
@Sarah: Yep, it’s available on amazon video here in the UK. I rented it a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it! It was both interesting and touching.
Glad it all went well. I wish I could have been there!
