Links: Cross Stitch, Magical Mice Shops, & Swag

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Happy Hump Day! This is going to  be my last batch of links before I fly home for the holiday! (Please pray for me.) So if next week’s links seem a little strange, it might be a call for help.

A group of awesome women were brought together by a love of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries to create The Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas. Reader Susan Thompson reached out to let us know they’re having their first convention in May of 2017:

A place with sessions on juicy topics, maybe a workshop and loads of chances to just be together with your online friends. It’s definitely not a requirement to be a certifiable geek on a topic. However, in our experience, you haven’t lived until you attend a convention. It’s one of the best 72-hours you can give yourself.

You can also check them out at their Facebook page and read more about the convention at its event page!

I’m a lover of all things miniature and tiny. An artist group called Anonymouse MMX is creating cute shops and restaurants designed for mice on the streets of Sweden. You can either read the write up linked or you can check out Anonymouse MMX’s instagram account.

For all our cross stitchers out there, big thanks to Reader Elizabeth S. for sending us this cat-themed holiday pattern! Happy stitching!

I know many readers want romances where the characters are older. Let me introduce you to the Seasoned Romance Facebook group:

A place for readers and writers of seasoned romance: love stories with heroes and heroines in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond. Sex and love can get better with age. So let’s read, write, and talk about it!

For those who use Goodreads, they also have a great ongoing list of books that fit into the “seasoned romance” category.

Jennifer Crusie is selling signed copies of her books! Fifty percent of the proceeds are going to Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. You can also receive 15% off  by using code SBTB.

USB Wall Outlet Adaptors!

What do we want? More USB ports! Where do we want them? EVERYWHERE!

Just in time for the holidays and perfect for those who will be attending RT in Atlanta this year, we have t-shirts!

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

I can’t thank you enough for the Seasoned Romances link. As I get older I find it harder to relate to heroines in their early 20’s. So thank you!

  2. Tam says:

Jennifer Crusie is seriously the best.

  3. AmyMac says:

Oh, the mouse-restaurants remind me of the Tiny Doors project in Atlanta: http://www.tinydoorsatl.com/about

I’ve followed the google map trail to find most of them (fun sunny day activity!) and stumbled on a few of them accidentally; they are these adorable, whimsical doors set into walls/trees/etc in different neighbourhoods with a little scene around them.
