Every time I see the Girl on the Train trailer, I get more and more enthralled with the movie’s mystery. I have yet to read the book The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and I can feel Elyse’s stare on the back of my neck for not having done so yet. The movie releases this Friday, October 7th and is stacked with an amazing cast: Emily Blunt, Luke Evans, and Allison Janney!
Here’s a description of the film’s plot:

Dorothy L. Sayer’s “Striding Folly” which is a collection of three Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries.
I guess The Great Zoo of China was probably a thriller so that would be the last one I read. I just got All the Missing Girls from my library’s e-library and I have The Girl in Cabin 10 on hold and ready for me to pick up at the library.
Haven by Kay Hooper
It was actually Girl on the Train. Just finished it yesterday!
The most recent book I read that could be classified as a mystery was J.D. Robb’s “Apprentice in Death”.
The last thriller I read was Noah Hawley’s Before the Fall; it was an enjoyable read.
Tami Hoag 9th girl
The Buried book by D.M. Pulley.
I’m in the middle of Charles Todd’s Wings of Fire right now
The last mystery was a re-read, “A Beautiful Blue Death” by Charles Finch. The last new one was “Cryoburn” by Lois McMaster Bujold.
The last mystery I read was Before the Fall. It’s about a plane crash and it’s so good.
Reading All the Missing Girls right now!
Not so much a thriller, but the last mystery I read was “Dark Fire” by CJ Sansom. The “detective” is a lawyer living in the reign of Henry VIII, and the author recreates the time period with a real feeling of accuracy.
Girl on the train – not usually a big thriller reader
I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh. Atmospheric and emotional, well worth the read. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m actually reading Girl on the train right now for book club! Before that Gone Girl.
“Lost Among the Living” by Simone St. James- mystery and a historical setting!
The last thriller I completed was The Splendour Falls by Susanna Kearsley, and mad props to SBTB for introducing me to Ms. Kearsley in the first place. I’m currently in the middle of (several books, including) The Piper on the Mountain by Ellis Peters, found in a Tiny Free Library down the road.
Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None
The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
Seanan McGuire’s “Once Broken Faith” although it’s not generally categorized in either of those genres. The last straight mystery I read was “Sunday the Rabbi Stayed Home” by Harry Kemelman. Girl on the Train has been on my “I need to read this” list for quite a while; I need to get to it so I can go see the movie.
I finally read The Girl in the Spider’s Web. It was better than I thought it would be considering Stieg Larsson didn’t write it. I enjoyed The Girl on the Train and I hope the movie is well done!
Hmmm… I think it was actually Girl on the Train last summer. I don’t read as much thriller as I would like, because they give me unsettling dreams.
Swerve by Vicki Pettersson, which was excellently dark and twisty. Or maybe dark and twisted. Seriously twisted.
Among the Wicked by Linda Castillo
Honestly, I can’t remember–while I love the mystery aspect, thrillers tend to do their job and freak me out 😉 Possibly one of Brenda Novak’s?
I haven’t been reading mysteries, but I did make my family watch Poirot with me when I was visiting them. Actually, we watched Death on the Nile, in which Emily Blunt is killed!
The last mystery I read was The Ghost and Mrs Fletcher from the Murder She Wrote series.
The last thriller I read was Girl on the Train. I usually stick to romance.
I’m reading The Girl on the Train now! A friend said I had to before she’d go see the movie with me this weekend.
I just finished Th Girl in Cabin 10! Very good, I recommend it!
“THE MURDERER’S SON” by Joy Ellis.
The latest John Cleaver book by Dan Wells
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I’m way late to that game, I know, and I haven’t seen the movie. It didn’t really do it for me though, unfortunately.
The last thriller I read was The Girl on the Train. Hope the movie is good!
Finished The Woman in Cabin 10 last night.
Last thriller I read was In a Dark Dark Wood (actually I listened to it) and I enjoyed it! I’ve been looking forward to this movie for a while now!
It’s been a long while since I was in the thriller/suspense mood, so it was probably some older Lori Foster when she was writing more in that sub genre.
I’m actually just starting Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra, and hoping to get my hands on Tana French’s The Trespasser when it comes out tomorrow.
the last mystery I read was a fabulous Flavia deLuce book “Thrice the Brinded Cat hath Mew’d” by Alan Bradley.
