I’m hoping someone might know this book but I have little to go on because I only saw the cover and read a brief description.
It looked like a contemporary western erotic romance. There is a pregnant woman in the foreground looking sexily at her brother-in-law (not sure he is on the cover, but if he is, he’s shirtless and working). In the background is a ranch scene with her husband, who is also brandishing some serious abs of course. The description stood out (I read it on DigitalBookSpot) because it was in first person. She was saying something like “I’m pregnant with my husband’s child so why am I lusting after his brother?” The married couple might have just moved to the ranch before the baby was born; she was pretty far along with a nice baby bump.
Anyone know what book it is? It was not His Brother’s Bride. It was more sexy and wicked on the cover! I really want to read it and it’s driving me crazy!
Well that makes for an awkward living situation. It sounds like it could be a category romance. Any thoughts from the Bitchery?

Thank you, I looked through a lot of her titles/descriptions (so many!!) but I don’t think it’s hers, not even the Pregnancy and Passion series though it seemed close. This book seemed more overdone almost cheesy (why do I NEED to read it, I don’t know!) and more country/on a ranch and in first person female. On a plus note I maybe want to read a Maya Banks book or two now! 🙂

This is tickling my memory – it kind of reminds me of a series of guest reviews/rants on Dear Author (by kkw? maybe?) about a self pub contemp western series with an healthy dose of crazysause.

It seems like the right idea, but I didn’t see any pregnant heroines on the covers – but tbh I didn’t look at them all (there are a LOT).
Definitely getting close with the Sable Hunter type books, thanks! I think what’s different is that either it turned into a threesome (I don’t think it was though) or there was going to be some cheating/love triangle. The pregnant woman looked downright naughty, not at all sorry that she was lusting after the brother-in-law. SH’s books all look pretty monogamous. Scanning through similar authors now and also looking over the dear author pages too. I read all the LaVryle Spencer books back in the day, definitely not her, but thanks 🙂
What about Lorelei James’ Rough Riders series? I know there are threesomes in that series. Not sure about the pregnancy.
Thanks again, seems close. Lorelei James’ Blacktop Cowboy series was closer. So many bare chests (I’m sweating over here!!) This book distinctly has a woman facing towards the reader with an obvious bump, men in background, no one touching. I’m leaning more towards a love triangle. Why can’t I find a pregnant love triangle between brother/brother-in-law/pregnant sister-in-law? Seems like someone should write a few more like that! Lots of threesomes, but they are all sandwiched together on the covers and no baby bumps. Maybe I imagined this, maybe it was a novella. I think I’m making myself horn…um crazy here. Whew…
I notice that you are pretty strong on the cover agreeing with your memory. Something that I have noticed is that books are re-printed with different covers and so the one you remember from back then may not be the cover the book has today.
By any chance, in the story you remember, was the husband all excited about a particular bull?
Gloriamarie, I have to admit I didn’t read anything but the synopsis. I was realized that kind of late, after scanning 1000 or so books…I noticed covers are changed/updated so I started going by description. What stood out in the synopsis was the first person thing. She was the one pursuing, she was the one speaking. How it ended up (threesome, cheating, fantasizing) I don’t know. So many novels I’m finding are in third person or the male’s perspective and they are all sandwiched together…I didn’t get that impression that the hubby was into this or even the BIL. Just that she was pregnant and being naughty. It might have more than one voice in the book to. Anyway, do you have a name on the one where the hubby is excited about a bull? I’m willing to check out anything! Thank you 🙂 PS Finding many titles with pregnant women but none with the husband being around (mostly widowed or divorced winding up with BIL)
The reason I asked if the OP remembered the husband and the bull is that in the book I cited above where there is a love triangle between wife, husband and his brother, the husband is invested in raising a prize winning bull. The Fulfillment by LaVryle Spencer.
Okay, holding it in my hand remembering how much I love these books! Now I am certain it’s not 🙁 In this, the married woman gets pregnant by her BIL after 7 barren years with her husband. In the book I’m looking for, she is quite far along in her pregnancy when her and her husband come to the ranch…then she starts lusting. But thank you again 🙂 Love the memories attached to LaVyrle’s books. Sigh…
