Giveaway: ARCs of Forever Your Earl by Eva Leigh!

Forever Your Earl
A | BN | K | AB
You might have noticed that I’m a lot excited about Forever Your Earl by Eva Leigh, the new pen name for Zoe Archer. I’ve liked Archer’s books a whole much of a lot, especially the Blades of the Rose series, which was like historical romance mixed with Indiana Jones adventure.

This new series is a whole lot of catnip, too. Leigh/Archer describes it as follows:

Scandal Takes the Stage
A | BN | K | AB
It’s about three female writers in Regency England, and the men who come to love them. The first book, Forever Your Earl, is about a woman who owns and edits a gossip rag—and the hero is her favorite subject of scandal who invites her to accompany him on his nightly escapades.

The second book, Scandal Takes the Stage, features a woman who is a successful playwright going head to head with London’s most notorious rake.

And, as you may know, in the third book, Temptations of a Wallflower ( A | BN | K | G | AB ), our heroine is a lady who writes pseudonymous erotic novels, and the hero is a vicar tasked with uncovering her secret identity. Wit, wordplay, sexiness, and feminism ensue.

The cover copy expands on the premise for Forever Your Earl:

Eleanor Hawke loves a good scandal. And readers of her successful gossip rag live for the exploits of her favorite subject: Daniel Balfour, the notorious Earl of Ashford. So when the earl himself marches into her office and invites her to experience his illicit pursuits firsthand, Eleanor is stunned. Gambling hells, phaeton races, masquerades . . . What more could a scandal writer want than a secret look into the life of this devilishly handsome rake?

Daniel has secrets, and if The Hawk’s Eye gets wind of them, a man’s life could be at stake. And what better way to distract a gossip than by feeding her the scandal she desperately craves? But Daniel never expected the sharp mind and biting wit of the beautiful writer, and their desire for each other threatens even his best-laid plans.

But when Eleanor learns the truth of his deception, Daniel will do anything to prove a romance between a commoner and an earl could really last forever.

If you’re wondering what’s with the pen name shift, Leigh/Archer says, “I’m switching names because it’s a pretty big shift from my action and adventure based Zoë Archer romances, so we wanted readers to come to the WICKED QUILLS without any preconceived ideas.”

Unfortunately I do have some preconceived ideas – DID YOU NOTICE ALL THE CATNIP THERE IS A LOT. When Avon offered five paper ARCs to giveaway, I jumped at the chance, so here we go!

Drop your email address in the widget below, and you’re entered to win a paper advanced reader copy of Forever Your Earl. As always, if the widget gives you trouble, you can always email me.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 and prepared to desperately crave reading material to win. Open to US residents only (I’m sorry, y’all!). One should either write something worth reading or do something worth writing, though Ben Franklin said that and he was kind of a dick sometimes, so caveat writer. Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear. Do not taunt happy fun ball. The widget will close at midnight on Friday 4 September, and winners will be announced same day.
