Giveaway: Signed Hardcover Collection of Charley Davidson Series

Giveaway time! Darynda Jones would like to give away a signed hardcover collection – all eight books – of her Charley Davidson series. That’s an instant library, isn’t it?

The series maintains 4+ star averages, and, as you might have heard when she was a guest on a recent podcast, contains a big mystery and a small mystery, plus a slow-building romance/attraction between Charley and a mysterious dude who initially just shows up in her dreams a lot, as you do. If you’ve been curious, now’s your chance.

The other cool thing is that the covers are gorgeous. Have a look:

Book First Grave on the Right - white pants with silver skull sandals  Book Second Grave on the Left - Leather jacket and pants with a sparkly skull belt buckle Book third Grave Dead Ahead - a close up of Charleys legs wearing loose red Chuck Taylor shoes Book Fourth Grave beneath my feet - leather pants and a green silk top, with a sparkly skull engraved on the back pocket of the jeansBook fifth grave past the light - a close up of a diamond-encrusted skull pendant Charley has a lot of sparkly thingsBook Sixth Grave on the Edge - charleys sunglasses have tiny skulls at the hinge at each corner Book Seventh Grave and no body a close up of a pink leather watch strap with a sparkly skull charm on the bandBook Eighth Grave After Dark a close up of a wrap around watch with black leather and brass studs and skulls riveted to the band

Fabulous, right?

Plus, as a prize for the runner-up, I have a signed copy of the newest book, Eighth Grave After Dark. Yay!

So here’s how to enter: tell us in the comments which of the accessories on the cover you would most want, and you’re entered to win. It would be a fun shopping trip –  the shoes on the first cover are from Alexander McQueen and are usually around $900, if you can find them.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents were permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to read and accessorize to win. Your mileage may vary. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear, especially if you are farsighted. If you’ve enjoyed these disclaimers half as much as we’ve enjoyed writing them, then we’ve enjoyed writing them twice as much as you’ve enjoyed reading them.  Winners will be chosen at random on Friday 29 May 2015 and will be announced same day. Thank you to Darynda Jones for the set of hardcovers – I love a prize that gives readers an instant library of good books to read!

Good luck!

Apologies! My calendar reminder didn’t go off, and I completely missed what day it was. I’m sorry about that! Let’s do some winner-announcing, eh?

The grand prize winner of a complete hardcover set of the Charley Davidson series is: Kathy B.

The runner up, who wins a signed hardcover of Eighth Grave After Dark, is: Susan R.

Thank you to everyone who entered, and to Darynda Jones for the giveaway prize!

  1. Gretchen says:

Not really an accessory, but I want the leather jacket from Second Grave on the Left. It looks like it actually has Boob Room – terribly hard to find!

  2. As I wouldn’t have much practical use for the scythe, I’d take the watch on the eight cover.

  3. Kim says:

It was a tough choice, but once you said the sandals were Alexander McQueen, that was the tipping point – the sandals!

  4. Julie d says:

I’m a fan of the watch.

  5. Oh, man. I have coveted the sandals on the first book since the first time I saw them. I love those sandals!!!

  6. Julia says:

    The watch, for sure.

  7. Ren says:

Does the scythe count as an accessory? If not, I love the watch on the eight book.

  8. Louise says:

Unfortunately where I live it is illegal to carry a blade longer than 2 1/2 inches, otherwise it would definitely be the scythe! Next best for both form and function has to be that watch.

  9. Ellie says:

I was going to say the red chucks on cover 3, but then it dawned on me- I already have a pair. So I too will pick the Alexander McQueen sandals.

  10. Wiesteria says:

Call me violent, but I really want the scythe.

  11. Andrea says:

I would love to wear the rocking skull sandals from 1st Grave on the Right. They’re both chic and make the statement “will kick some ass if necessary. “

  12. aida alberto says:

Just one? Both the shoes and the watch are fabulous.

  13. SandyH says:

i like the belts in the seventh book and the second book cover.

  14. Jennifer P says:

The chucks because they are comfortable and heck, the scythe might come in handy some day! Maybe if I could put it on my desk at work, people wouldn’t bug me anymore… 🙂

  15. Patricia M says:

I want that watch. I rarely wear watches but that sparkles nicely.

  16. Sarah says:

Either the sandals or the leather jacket – I need some badassery in my wardrobe.

  17. Silver James says:

Would it be terribly bloodthirsty of me to want the scythe? Yeah, I figured. In that case, I’m all about leather so I’d totally steal borrow or buy the jacket from Second Grave. 😉

  18. Niki says:

The watch, I think, though I have long loved the effect of the shoes on that first cover.

  19. ClaireC says:

I’d want the scythe, especially the baby version on the first cover (does it fold up? Because that would be awesome!), but I’m pretty sure that it would be illegal here. So, I’ll take any of the skull rings as a second choice! Perfect for just a hint of bad-assery 🙂

  20. Laura says:

I want those sweet skull sunglasses.

  21. Mandy says:

I would wear the watch on 8 it’s stunning. Thanks for the giveaway!!!

  22. Storyphile says:

I want the kickass watch on the 8th cover!

  23. SallyP says:

    Absolutely the sandals.

  24. Lucylegs says:

I love the sunglasses on the sixth book! They would look ridiculous on me – I have the wrong shaped face for aviators but I wouldn’t care!

  25. Sarah S. says:

The scythe on book 4. Best accessory ever!

  26. Stephaniec says:

The Scythe!!!!! For some reason I don’t find it morbid or creep with Charley

  27. Sara says:

Like many, I’m a big fan of the watch. It looks useful and actually comfy.

  28. Leigh says:

The watch on the 8th cover is very cool (although I’m fond of the red Chuck Taylors from book 3, too).

  29. DonnaMarie says:

I’m with Heather Bokon. I am all about the shoes. Who knows when this series would’ve popped up on my radar, if it hadn’t been for those sandals waving from the cover.

  30. Lindsay says:

I totally want the pink belt! And the signed collection. 😉

  31. Michelle in Texas says:

I love the red Chuck Taylors, but I also like that watch!

  32. denise says:

    I love the skull sandals

  33. April B. says:

I love the sunglasses with the tiny skulls on the side and the blue skull watch.

  34. Maya says:

    Hmm. The sick Sunglasses obv.

  35. Alexandra says:

The scythe, obviously. I mean, I wouldn’t really need it to hack at bad guys or whatever but I’m sure I could put it to use in my garden and feel totally badass doing it.

I almost bought this entire series when it was on sale but had an uncharacteristic moment of restraint as I recalled my ever increasing ‘shop-my-kindle’bookshelf on Goodreads. But a giveaway? A giveaway is a whole other ball game, y’all. Sign me up!

  36. Sam C says:

    Watch I think. Too cute!

  37. Erica H says:

The bad ass scythe is the ultimate accessory. No practical use, but it’s awesome!

  38. Amanda S. says:

I live the watch, it is amazing!

  39. Donna Barton says:

Would love the sandals from book 1!!!!!

  40. Betul E. says:

I would love to own the leather jacket on the cover of Second Grave on the left. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GIVEAWAY!! Also having it open internationally. There are so many giveaway right now for the whole set but all are US only. I’ll keep my fingers & toes crossed <3
