    I only wish the discussion of clergy in romance could have talked about historicals, instead of just contemps. Maybe another time?

  2. SB Sarah says:

    @Karin:

    In the original podcast discussion about clergy in romance, also inspired by an email, I mentioned two historical romances with clergy characters – A Notorious Countess Confesses and To Love and to Cherish. I will keep looking for more if that’s what you’re interested in?

  3. Coco says:

    I’m not a fan of the clergy in romance theme as they seem to either have someone fail at their own moral code or are simply boring beyond measure to me. Also, I end up doing way more reading than I ever wanted to on denominations I’m not interested in just so I can kinda know whats what.

    On the other hand, have you watched Rev. (BBC)? I think the main character and his wife are so well written as clergy and spouse of clergy. It’s completely irreverent, with plenty of profanity and not a romance by any means but so much closer to the reality of that dynamic than anything else I’ve seen. Hysterical goodness. You should check it out.

  4. Karin says:

    Thanks, @SBSarah, I just wanted to add my own recommendation for “A Woman Scorned” by Liz Carlyle. The hero used to be a soldier but is now an ordained minister.

  5. SB Sarah says:

    Ooh! Thank you for that – I missed that one!
