I love Julia Quinn and Eloisa James. They are my go to books. However I have found Suzanne Enoch and may have another favorite in the making 🙂

  2. Alezandra says:

There are two romance series that I tend to recommend most often: Lynsay Sands fantastic “vampire” books and Eloisa James Desperate Duchesses. I love the humor in both of them!

  3. Demi says:

I usually recommend JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series, or KMM’s Fever series!

  4. Alice says:

For romance novels, you can rarely go wrong with Nora Roberts or Julia Quinn!

I don’t actively seek romance novels so I can’t recommend. However, if a friend puts one in my hands…I WILL READ IT. haha! They’re a great escape.

  7. Karen says:

I usually recommend Jennifer Crusie’s Bet Me, unless the person I’m recommending a book to prefers historical novels, in which I’d recommend anything by Courtney Milan (Trade Me is in my TBR pile so maybe my romance recs are about to simplify) or Mr Impossible by Loretta Chase.

  8. Quinn Fforde says:

I always recommend Penny Reid because is she an excellent blend of romance, intelligence, and humor–rather like the Smart Bitches! Happy birthday!

  9. Kalbert says:

Lord of Scoundrels. It always hooks new readers.

  10. Janice says:

I recommend Courtney Milan’s romances first-off. Smartly written and swoon-worthy historical.

Anything by Courtney Milan. LOVE HER!

  21. Alexandra says:

My most-recommended romance novel is, indeed, Lord of Scoundrels. Followed by Stephanie Laurens for historicals and Victoria Dahl for contemporaries.

(Can I just go off-topic and say: A SMART BICHES FLASK?! PURE GENIUS!)

  22. Jessica says:

It depends. For those who don’t read romance, I tend to recommend early Nora Roberts (although I did love her newer The Witness). For those already reading romances, I recommend Laura Kaye, Julia Quinn or Jeanine Frost.

  23. PamG says:

Depends on whom I’ recommending it to. Authors that make me laugh for everyone! Spouse gets Meljean Brook and Shelly Laurenston. Daughter one gets Amanda Quick and Laurenston. Daughter two gats Penny Reid and Laurenston. Coworkers get SEP, Julie James, Rachel Gibson and Laurenston. Aha! I guess the answer would be. . . Shelly Laurenston!

  24. Renee says:

Not often…but when I do Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Lisa Kleypas.

  25. Jane Drew says:

I usually recommend “Bet Me,” although will recommend various historicals if somebody might be more interested in that.

  26. Jess says:

So far, not many RL friends are into romance but I managed to convert a friend with the classic Outlander and Sarah McLean’s recent series, especially One Good Earl Deserves a Lover.

  27. BillieB says:

There’s no one romance I recommend most often, but I have my go-to authors: Grace Burrowes, Jennifer Crusie, Susanna Kearsley, Stephanie Perkins and Jill Mansell. There are others, of course, but these are the ones that I most often try to shove into readers’ hands.

  28. Ashley Morris says:

Quite a few, but any Julia Quinn or Lisa Kleypas novel often gets recommended

  29. alisha woods says:

Historical mostly. Always recommend Eloisa James and Julia Quinn love their books

Eloisa James is a weekend favorite! One can’t go wrong with Eloisa and a hot cup of tea!

  35. Lozza says:

I have different go-to recommendations based on what else people read… if I know people do fantasy, I’ll often try to get them to start with Ilona Andrews or Nalini Singh. I’ve also given the Sarina Bowen books to a few of my friends who usually read YA trying to age them up into more adult romance as well 🙂

  36. Timberle Ramsey says:

I love historical romance! Recommend Sarah MacLean, Julia Quinn & Eloisa James is among my favorites!
