  • The Kent Brother Trilogy

The Kent Brother Trilogy by Jaci Burton

The Kent Brothers Trilogy by Jaci Burton is 99c! It’s that time of year again when holiday romances come out of the wood works. The trilogy features all three of the Kent Brothers novellas. The stories feature a second chance romance, a single mom heroine, and a divorced hero. Something for everyone! Though the bundle lacks actual reviews on GR, it has a rating of 4.3 stars.

It just might take a Christmas miracle…

All She Wants for Christmas (The Kent Brothers Book One)
Country singer Riley Jensen would never have returned to her small Missouri hometown if her publicist hadn’t come up with the scheme to tape a Christmas special there. So she never would have known that the man who broke her heart at eighteen was now a widower with a seven-year-old daughter. Riley has ten years of angst-filled hit songs and Grammy Awards to prove she doesn’t need Ethan Kent. But suddenly, she can’t help thinking of all she gave up by running away…

A Rare Gift (The Kent Brothers Book Two)
With a disastrous marriage behind him, Wyatt Kent has no interest in getting involved with any woman, let alone his ex-wife’s younger sister. But when Calliope Andrews hires him to build an addition onto her day care center, Wyatt can’t help but notice her. But it’s going to take a Christmas miracle for Wyatt to put his trust in love a second time.

The Best Thing (The Kent Brothers Book Three)
A year ago, Tori let her guard down and Brody Kent slipped right in, planting one hot, unforgettable kiss on her in a dark corner at the company Christmas party. Though the kiss surpassed her wildest dreams, she can’t let it happen again. Brody’s got a reputation for loving and leaving. And he’ll have to get creative if he wants to convince Tori that he’s a changed man.

  • The Sassy One

The Sassy One by Susan Mallery

The Sassy One by Susan Mallery is $1.99! This is an older romance – it was originally published in 2003 – and the second book in the Marcelli series. The heroine comes from a big family, marries at eighteen, becomes a young widow, and then finds herself in a no-strings-attached relationship with a rich CEO. As you do. Readers note that things happen really quickly, but many liked the change in the hero and heroine’s relationship from friends-with-benefits to something more. It has a 4-star rating on GR.

For the Marcelli sisters of California wine country, the season is ripe for romance!

Francesca Marcelli married at eighteen — right on schedule, according to her warm, colorful family, who have always said a beauty like Francesca need never worry about finding love. But a few years later, finding herself on her own with a wide open future ahead of her, she pursues her educational passions — with a risky experiment that takes her straight into the arms of playboy CEO Sam Reese. Delighted by Francesca’s interest in a no-strings relationship, Sam suddenly finds himself needing her outside the bedroom when a secret from his past lands on his doorstep. But Francesca soon has a secret of her own to tell — a bombshell that will force the diehard bachelor to show his true colors. Are there “I do”s in Sam and Francesca’s future? Only if she can persuade him that home truly is where the heart finds happiness.

  • No Place Like Home

No Place Like Home by Linda, Kat, Laura, Mary Lael Miller, Martin, Florand, Carter

No Place Like Home is $2.99! This is a holiday anthology featuring stories from Linda Lael Miller, Kat Martin, Laura Florand, and Mary Carter. There is one outlier in the collection and that is Kat Martin’s story. It’s more of a historical romance taking place during the Civil War, but the rest are contemporary romances. The clear favorite of the quartet appears to be Florand’s “A Rose in Winter,” but with a 3.7-star rating on GR, many found the collection enjoyable overall.

There’s nothing more festive than a winter romance, and in these heart-warming stories, love is a gift that can take you by surprise. . .

The 24 Days Of Christmas by Linda Lael Miller

A matchbox advent calendar first brought Frank Rayner and Addie Hutton together. But that was years ago. There’s no way the miracles of Christmas–and the magic of true love–could possibly be hidden under one of its tiny flaps. Or could they?

    Christmas Angel by Kat Martin

When Angel Summers’ first love, Josh Coltraine, joined the Army, she vowed to hate him forever. But now he’s back in Savannah for the holidays–wishing for a miracle that could heal both their hearts.

The Christmas Carousel by Mary Carter

Single mom Georgia Bradley can’t afford to fight the developers who want to tear down her beloved Rhode Island auction house–especially Adam Cavalier. But when she receives a mysterious gift, Adam becomes intrigued with its origin–and with Georgia…

A Rose in Winter By Laura Florand

Allegra Caldron knew the rule never to talk to strangers. But on a cold winter night in Provence, she breaks that rule–and more–with an irresistible man. Raoul Rosier seems thrillingly dangerous, yet why does Allegra feel so safe with him–even when she believes he’s a thief?

  • Once a SEAL

Once a SEAL by Anne Elizabeth

Once a SEAL by Anne Elizabeth is $2.99! This is a contemporary romance and the second book in the West Coast Navy SEALs series. The hero is a (obviously) a Navy SEAL and the heroine is his wife. Much of the romance comes from the couple trying to cope with the strenuous lifestyle of being married to a man in the military. Several readers loved the heroine and her portrayal of a military wife, though some noted they had some trouble getting into the first quarter of the book. Anyone read this one?

It’s going to take a SEAL’s strength to make this marriage work

Every woman dreams of marrying the perfect man-handsome, thoughtful, strong, and sensitive -and Aria Kavanagh believes she’s found the ultimate hero in Chief Petty Officer Daniel McCullum. But being a U.S. Navy SEAL wife is a serious challenge, especially when the missions are putting more than their love in the line of fire. Can they jump the hurdles and handle the daily rigors without falling apart? Or will the pressures attached to the handsome uniform have them both questioning if their dedication is worth it? Every moment matters when the only thing that truly lasts is love.

  1. Christine Maria Rose says:

I bought a paperback copy a few months ago of No Place Like Home – strictly for the Laura Florand story in it, A Rose in Winter. It’s one of my favourite novellas and even though I had a digital copy I needed a hard copy too! I highly recommend it!

  2. DonnaMarie says:

I smell “Ooops! I’m pregant!” catnip. ‘Scuse me while I go one click.

  3. LML says:

Thanks, SB Sarah! @Mara mentioned A Rare Gift on Saturday’s “Whatch Reading” and I wanted it, but couldn’t bring myself to spend $2.99 for 100 pages so the collection on sale today is a fun surprise.

  4. Melanie says:

I read Once a SEAL a ways back – did not like. I spent pretty much the whole book wondering what would happen next, because the heroine could not catch a break! We don’t get to see any of the romance, just the part where she’s trying to adjust to being a military wife, and she’s not doing very well. We see a lot of issues between them, and it all seems to happen at the same time. I agree that being a military wife is difficult (I can only imagine what it’s like, really, and I admire those who live it), but we really didn’t need all the other crap that was happening. There was no….passion or life or desire in their relationship. It was just all blah.

  5. Mara says:

Hooray! The Overdrive didn’t have the other Kent brothers stories for me, so I’m excited to be able to read the other novellas & stay in my book budget. @LML – I really did enjoy “A Rare Gift”… hope you do, too

  6. Kelly S. says:

I already own and have read the first 2 Kent bro stories, but for 99 cents, I can have the 3rd. BTW, I enjoyed both of the first two quite a bit.
