This is going to be so bad for my wallet.

Also coming out this month: “Clariel” by Garth Nix. It’s a continuation of his Abhorsen trilogy, which I fervently recommend to all of my peeps who want kick-butt heroines and epic fantasy.

  6. harthad says:

For fans of m/m, there are some Josh Lanyon titles coming up soon: The Boy with the Painful Tattoo (book 3 in Holmes & Moriarity series) is Oct. 5. Fair Play (sequel to Fair Game) is set for November. And now I have to go pre-order Ancillary Sword…

  7. LML says:

LOVE the title of this post.  Ouch!

    Thanks EVER so much…

    ka-CHING!!

  9. Heather S says:

Let’s not forget that the new ParaNora in the Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy is coming out on the 28th, too. 🙂

  10. Heather S says:

I’m loving the diversity of the characters in this month’s books! I have an ARC of “His Road Home” that I intend to start on tonight. The new Beverly Jenkins looks delightful – I’m all for more Cuban-African pirate women in romance. ^_^

  11. Amanda says:

Thank You Heather S I completely forgot about Clariel.  Can’t wait to read that one!

  12. Kate says:

Only Enchanting, the next one in Mary Balogh’s Survivor’s Club series is coming out at the end of the month.

I love, love, love this new category. I never would have known that Garth Nix continued his Abhorsen series (thanks, Heather S!) unless I randomly ran across it somewhere, since I assumed the series was done and wouldn’t have thought to check if he had anything new…

  13. Vasha says:

Ginn Hale has Champion of the Scarlet Wolf (sequel to Lord of the White Hell, m/m fantasy) out on the 7th.

  14. Julie Brannagh says:

I am SO EXCITED to see Anna Richland’s book on this list! Anna writes wonderful, compelling stories that will stick with you long after you’ve turned the final page. I can’t wait to read HIS ROAD HOME, either.

  15. Liz G says:

Yes, thirding the big, big thank you to Heather S!!  Although I have to say that I’m not such a fan of the new covers.  I loved the drawn covers for the other books and their amazing detail.

  16. Shann says:

It was released on 30 September, but there’s Cathy Maxwell’s The Groom Says Yes.

And it’s not romance but Peter Hamilton’s sci-fi novel The Abyss Beyond Dreams comes out 9 October or 21 October.  (I cannot figure Amazon out.)  Back to the Commonwealth Universe that is just so…

And I know, you don’t want to hear it … winter is coming … That Fire & Ice thing from some guy name Martin in late October.

  17. Shannon says:

Sorry to double-dip.  I just clicked on the link for Hoyt’s book.  For some reason, Amazon is not offering a Kindle version for pre-order.  It’s part of that Hatchette conflict, according to her website.

  18. shel says:

Finally, back to a non-Ghost Maiden Lane book – thanks for the heads up.

  19. DonnaMarie says:

In addition to Nalini Singh’s new Archangel book, I’ll be blowing the budget on Final Lap by Erin McCarthy, Seventh Grave and No Body #7 in Darynda Jones’ series and Dangerous Women 2 edited by George R.R. Martin. DW1 was full of awesome, including a Jaime pre-Claire story in the Outlander world.

  20. cleo says:

@Amanda – I read Fever Pitch yesterday. I enjoyed it – the last third got way too meladramatic for me, but I loved the first half/two thirds.

  21. Susan says:

    I just checked my preorders:

The new Jane Yellowrock book comes out on the 7th.
Jennifer Ashley has two Mackenzie books coming out in Oct.
The latest Holmes & Moriarity by Josh Lanyon is being released on the 5th (finally!).
KJ Charles’s Flight of Magpies comes out on the 28th.

I’m not sure what’s going on w/ Ancillary Sword.  I preordered it back in February (it shows on my account), but Amazon hasn’t even been listing it as available.  It had better show up on my Kindle on the 7th!

  22. Sandra says:

Not quite October, but Joanna Bourne’s next book, Rogue Spy, releases on Nov. 4. FINALLY…

  23. LauraL says:

Oooops, His Road Home just appeared on my wish list.

I am so looking forward to Carolina Blues by Virginia Kantry, due out next week.

  24. Celia Marsh says:

The new kristen higgans just came out yesterday, didn’t it? And it was a week or two ago, but the Molly Harper contemporary non paranormal, Snow Falling on Bluegrass just caje out, which i had been desperately waiting for, almost as much so as the wallflower book, which i just bought and am going to read instead sleeping, because i am a grown up and it is the responsibile thing to do.

  25. Heather S says:

Some of these books apparently don’t have strict on-sale dates – I saw a few (mentioned in the post and in the comments) on the shelf when I was at Books A Million last night – the new Teresa Romain, Faith Hunter, Virginia Kantry, and Maya Rodale come to mind immediately. Go check and maybe get them early!

  26. HollyS says:

C’mon REALLY???? Another way for me to come here and spend my money???

(ok nevermind the fact that I already pre-ordered a few of the books. Counting the days till “Destin’s Captive”)

Truth be told, I love this new feature.

  27. Heather S says:

Also just re-released yesterday – “Faith and Fidelity” by Tere Michaels. Contemporary m/m romance. Originally published by Loose Id, it’s now published by Dreamspinner Press. Aside from a fresh new cover, the book contains new material not included in the first edition. This is my number one FAVORITE m/m series, and I’m ecstatic to get the new edition! I highly recommend it for any m/m romance fans.

  28. Karin says:

So much catnip here, I don’t know where to start.
Maggie Robinson’s 2 latest books in her “Ladies Unlaced” series were recently released, “The Reluctant Governess” (08/19/14) and “The Unsuitable Secretary”(09/16/14). Edwardian era romance and a bit spicy.

  29. Cat C says:

LOVE this new feature. I’m excited, even if my credit card isn’t. Thanks for bringing these to our attention!

I can wait for a sale on the Romain and the Rodale, though I’ve enjoyed all the previous books in each series. Hoyt is an auto-buy for me, though, and I just discovered that I pre-ordered Destiny’s Captive back in July—I’d snatched up Destiny’s Surrender on sale (my first Beverly Jenkins!), and the pirate teaser at the end apparently compelled me to press the magic button. And the Richland not only sounds AMAZING, but on Amazon customers also bought a bunch of Sarina Bowen books and Courtney Milan’s Talk Sweetly to Me so that means that I will love this just as much as those. Diversity in romance FTW *click*

  30. What’s Happening i am new to this, I stumbled upon this I

You’re a dark temptress Sarah. Not only did I buy up from your romantic suspense newsletter, I come here and someone tells me there’s another Garth Nix out. My credit card is burning.
