Via Tumblr comes this video that made me laugh so freaking hard. The filmmaker, Julieta Colas, has this to say about it:
This is my classical animation film. It’s about a guy who has to get out of the shower multiple times to answer the phone. Basically, I said “if I’m going to have to draw the same thing every day for the next 4 months, I might as well make it something I want to draw.”
Hence all the muscles and stuff. Hope you like it (please share it if you do).
Please be aware, there are minor NSFW moments in this short, but I hope you laugh as hard as I did.
Missed Call from Julieta Colas on Vimeo.
I hope your weekend is full of all the laughs. And no annoying phone calls.
Hah! Now I’ve got a particular scene from Linda Howard’s Mr. Perfect stuck in my head:
Love it. Thanks for sharing!
Cute – except the creepy ending (but I’m probably not the right audience since I don’t care for reverse objectification much)
It is cute, but, dude, doesn’t that phone have an answering machine? If it’s important, they’ll leave a message.
I agree. If this was a video about a woman who kept walking out of the shower repeatedly to answer the phone, and it turned out the reason was an elderly man kept calling her to ogle her through bincoulars, that would be called everything from sexist to creepy to criminal. Having it happen to a man instead doesn’t turn it into comedy—or it shouldn’t, anyway.
Thank you Sarah. LMAO.
