First Grave on the Right is the first book in Darynda Jones' Charley Davidson series, and it's $2.99 right now. When I've been at conferences with Jones, readers and authors come up to her and tell her how much they love this series. This book won the Golden Heart in 2009, and the RITA for Best First Book in 2012. The heroine, Charley, is terrific. I listened to the audiobook performance by Lorelei King (after buying the Kindle copy on sale I was offered a discounted audio copy) and it was really good. I didn't want to stop walking the dogs, that's for sure.

f you're going to have angels, make them vampire viking angels, right? Right. Kiss of Temptation is $1.99. The first book in the series is .99c, and the second, Kiss of Pride, is about $5.00, so if you're after viking vampire angels, you can have all three for around $8.
The thing I like about Sandra Hill's writing, whether she's got time traveling vikings who find careers in Hollywood or who bring their entire posse of children with them into the future, is that the over-the-top what whaat? aspect is done knowingly. There's a comedy to these books with the silliness, and I'm always a fan of comic silliness.

Austenland is $1.99 digitally today as an Amazon daily deal. Not sure if price matching faeries will get to this one. This book was a Sizzling Book Club pick, and I listened to the audioversion, which was equally good. If you buy the Kindle sale, you might get an offer for the Audible version at a discount, too – definitely grab it. Excellent narration. Alas, the movie was nowhere near as good as the book.

I think those are like $900 Alexander McQueen sandals. I absolutely covet them, but since I’m not spending $2.99 on a book, I doubt the shoes are in my future.
Bought Austenland early this morning and am saving it for vacation.
Not sure on those Viking vampire Navy SEAL angels, but I may end up buying it … Mr. L is wondering what’s up with all the SEAL books. LOL
I liked first grave on the right so-so. I was ambivalent about it enough that I almost didn’t buy the second in the series… But I am glad I did because I loved it and have now read all of them. And if you like these, the Stacey Justice series is also really good.
I tried the Viking Vampire Seal Angels a few months ago and the constant homophobic jokes were just too much for me. When the “I’ll pretend I’m gay to get in her pants lol” plot started I was out.
