I could have sworn I posted this, but I must have blanked on it (seriously, I thought I did. Weird). Tap dancer Christopher Rice and a team of broadway dancers did an entire tap rhythm routine to Cups from Pitch Perfect. It's adorable – and the credits are the best part.
Link!
NB: I also found this video Anna Kendrick singing at the Kennedy Center Honors celebration in honor of Shirley MacLaine. Oh, my, is this awesome. I love how MacClaine is quietly singing along in the beginning. Then Sutton Foster, Patina Miller, and Karen Olivo show up and I needed to lie down for a minute.
I hope your weekend is fantastic and worth singing about.
I have to show this to my son tonight! He’s four and just started tap classes.
Delightful! Thanks for sharing.
Both videos made me so happy. I’m really glad they made y’all happy, too.
That tribute video got me all teary eyed. I need to go check my mascara.
Thanks for the videos. Very nice. For a moment, I thought it was going to be the Christopher Rice who writes books I like but I see it is another Christopher Rice who is a great dancer. Cool.
TAP DANCE! I love all the tap. I recommend tap classes to everyone!
Psssst. Anna Kendrick is hosting Saturday Night Live on April 5. Awesomeness shall certainly ensue. Musical guest is Pharrell Williams.
Loved this tap video! Thank you for sharing it!
I hope it is not too off topic to mention – since I was led to remember how much I like Christopher Rice, the writer, I checked and The Snow Garden is 2.99 at both Amazon and B&N. This is thriller, not romance, but worth a read.
Thank you! That was definitely a highlight for Friday! Sent it to DD, who’s a tapper 🙂
Awesome. That’s such a natural combination (tap and cups). I also really like how they did the credits. I wonder how the conversation went when the one woman decided to just drink instead of dancing.
“No, seriously guys, you all dance, and then I don’t dance.”
“Um…”
“It’ll be great, I swear.”
You did post this before! We had a total squeefest about it, because I saw it from your link on Twitter, and then forgot about that part, and emailed you to tell you all about it.
But it’s awesome and totally worth reposting, so… SQUEE CANNONS TO STUN!
