More than a few of the reviews on GR do mention “tissues” or “hankies” so do be ready for some tearful moments.

A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from my Kitchen Table by Molly Wizenberg is $1.99 right now. This is a combination memoir/cookbook from the writer behind the blog Orangette. Readers who liked this book adore the recipes and the memories and stories that go with each one. I'm seriously intrigued by this one. Have you read it?
When Molly Wizenberg's father died of cancer, everyone told her to go easy on herself, to hold off on making any major decisions for a while. I highly recommend A Homemade Life. Wizenberg is a lovely writer and though the book really is more memoir than romance, the romantic bits are great and will leave you wanting more. And there is more, on her blog. I admit to binging on Orangette after I finished the book, where the writing is just as good, as are the delicious recipes and gorgeous photographs.
