HaBO: Shapeshifting Princess of Super Fertility

This request comes from Jennifer, who is looking for a paranormal romance that… you guys have to read this. How have I not heard of this series before now!?

This has been driving me crazy, because I thought I bought this ebook series on my Kindle and I cannot find it anywhere in my Cloud books. It is an erotic romance with several male leads, all of whom are members of different shapeshifting species, and the female lead is the shapeshifter princess.

There are several books in the series, all following the sister princesses. In this world, the men who mate the shapeshifter women from the royal line are guaranteeing fertility for their particular shapeshifter breed. Said princesses are are in great demand by horny men, therefore.

One princess and her sisters don't like the idea of having their mates chosen for them, and not having any say in who or how many men they will be obligated to marry, so they run away and are in hiding.

Then one day, a certain group of shapeshifter men catch a rare, valuable scent on the breeze. Much group loving commences, along with politics due to the fact that the men are not considered good enough by the people who have had control of the women in the royal line up until this point.

It is erotic, but it is also good because of the political machinations going on under the surface. I don't know the author or the titles, so I need help!

Do you recognize this series? I bet one of you will know it in .03 seconds.

The first thing that came to mind was the series by Linda Winstead Jones.

It starts with the Fyne sisters trilogy: The Sun Witch, The Moon Witch and The Star Witch.
Then it’s followed by the Children of the Sun trilogy and finally the Emperor’s Brides 4 books. So the entire saga has 10 books.

But I’m not sure it’s the right series. Though there’s a witch with the power of fertility and there are shapeshifting characters somewhere.

I’m really curious to see other people’s responses.

Sounds like it might be something by Eve Langlais (who loves to have multiple male leads) though I don’t know that she’s ever used princesses as main female characters.

I haven’t read this, but it sounds like it could be Eve Langlais – she writes light, sexy books, so maybe it’s not a match, depends on how complicated and dark the political machinations are.

I know I’ve read this.  I was thinking it came from Ellora’s Cave.  I’ve been going through my book descriptions and haven’t had any luck though.

The closest I’ve found so far is Christina’s Tapestry.  But I don’t think it had any shapeshifters.

    Hmmm.  Back to the library.

  5. MarieC says:

It sounds like Stacey Espino’s ‘Pack Seduction’ series.

First book is Claiming Their Mate.

    From Amazon:
Carna and her sisters carry the last of the royal blood. Every male shifter in the world craves to mate with one of the elusive princesses to secure their place in history. Only royal blood will ensure the continuation of all shifter species.

Although she may be the heir to future generations, Carna wants no part in a forced seduction. She’s independent and wants to make her own choices, and mate for love, not out of necessity. Carna and her sisters split up and go into hiding, but not for long…

When a rogue group of shifters captures Carna and insists she choose one of them as her mate, she puts up the fight of her life, escaping into the forest. Once on the run again, she quickly learns that running and hiding are taking their toll on her. She needs to settle down and why not with one or more of the sexy men begging for her affections? But can she find love amongst all the chaos?

Unfortunately, i have no suggestions for the HABO; however, I both love and hate HABO day for the continual growth of my TBR pile. This one sounds interesting and crazypants, my usual literary crack.

This sounds like awesome crazy on a stick perhaps dipped in caramel.  But, dude, $3.99 for 72 pages?  I would get it in a heartbeat for .99.
