There is a TON of Avon romance on sale for $3.99 at Amazon right now. You can have a look at the list, but it's extensive beginning with the $2.99 books then pages and pages of $3.99. Oh, mercy. I'm hoping some if not all will be price matched, but for now, they're Amazon only. So I'm going to highlight a few, and hopefully tomorrow the prices will be available elsewhere.
First: today's Audible daily deal is the kind of book I love to listen to rather than read, especially because I can speed up the narration to 1.25x or 1.5x normal speed and get through it more efficiently. The Introvert Advantage is a nonfiction examination of introversion with identification of what makes an introvert an introvert, and strategies for managing and coping with being introverted.
Do you “zone out” if too much is going on?
Are you energised by spending time alone?
In meetings, do you need to be asked for your opinions and ideas?
Do you tend to notice details that other people miss? Is your ideal celebration a small get-together, rather than a big party? Do you often feel like a tortoise surrounded by hares?
The good news is, you're an introvert. The better news is that by celebrating the inner strengths and uniqueness of being an “innie” THE INTROVERT ADVANTAGE shows introverts, and the extroverts who love them, how to work with instead of against their temperament to enjoy a well-lived life.
Covering relationships, parenting – including parenting the introverted child – socialising, and the workplace, here are coping strategies, tactics for managing energy, and hundreds of valuable tips for not only surviving but truly thriving in an extrovert world.
More audiobooks on sale, too! Romances!
Also, Audible has a few romances on sale, too, in unabridged audio. Love and Other Scandals by Caroline Linden is $3.95 for a limited time. Or, if you buy the Kindle edition, the audio price will drop to $2.99.
Joan Bennet is tired of being a wallflower. Thanks to some deliciously scandalous—and infamous—stories, she has a pretty good idea of what she's missing as a spinster. Is even a short flirtation too much to ask for?
Tristan, Lord Burke, recognizes Joan at once for what she is: trouble. Not only is she his best friend's sister, she always seems to catch him at a disadvantage.
The only way he can win an argument is by kissing her senseless. He'd give anything to get her out of her unflattering gowns.
But either one of those could cost him his bachelor status, which would be dreadful—wouldn't it?
Plus, there are two box sets that are great deals, should you be looking for a good amount of reading for a low price.
The Harlequin E Contemporary Romance Box Set is available for pre-order for $3.82-$4.99 right now. The set will release on 3 February 2014. From the email about the deal, it seems Harlequin E is introducing new authors with this box set and rewarding readers who pre-order:
Unlike many boxed sets, the books here have never been published before. After 90 days, Harlequin will 'blow up' the box, and each of the four titles will be available only as single books, for $3.99 each. The idea is to reward readers who take a chance on the new imprint with a price which will not come around again.

Promise Me Forever is one of four Lorraine Heath books priced at $3.99 right now. You can see the others here. This one has a Regency cowboy in London instead of the US, and a lot of emotion.
Warning from reviewers: do not read the epilogue. You've been warned.
On the outside, Lauren Fairfield appears the very picture of cool, contained nobility and blueblood British sophistication. Inside, however, she longs for Tom, the charming rogue she loved–and lost.
Now a sinfully handsome would-be gentleman has arrived in London–and Lauren nearly swoons when she realizes it is her Tom, grown to magnificent manhood. He has come to claim his lost title as Earl of Sachse . . .and to fulfill an oath once made by two young lovers beneath a long-ago moon, a scandalous promise no proper lady would dare honor.
Lauren could never love a staid and stifling lord, and Tom's future is the aristocracy. So she will teach him their ways before she exits his life forever. But the wildness she adored still lives in Tom's heart–and he will not rest until he proves to the proud, resisting beauty that “forever” is a promise that must be kept . . .
Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean is $3.79 right now. A Rogue By Any Other Name is also on sale. This is MacLean's first book, and it hit the NYT – so many happy readers have enjoyed this book. From our RITA Reader Challenge review by Diana:
I’m taking a chance to send something I wrote just last night, having read the book NINE RULES TO BREAK WHEN ROMANCING A RAKE by Sarah MacLean just a couple of nights ago. I’m new to reading romance novels, and I have relied on sites such as yours to figure out which books to try and whatnot. I’m a lurker, and have not participated in anything, not really having the boldness to do so, till now. I really enjoyed reading this book, and something compelled me to express my love for this story, and it’s the same force that gave me courage to share what I wrote. Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary. So … whether this gets to be a part of the review collection, is out of my hands. (I guess I’m just taking a page out of my favorite heroine, and the mere thought of writing a review and sharing it with others is good enough for me.) Thanks for taking the time to read!
Quite possibly one of the hottest, most delicious story of love I have ever read. (And trust me, I have not stopped devouring romance novels since I discovered it at the beginning of this year, and this is definitely listed in my top five.) There is this Something Special about this book that had me laughing and gasping and fanning myself and sighing and crying and everything in between. Sure, the wallflower spinster heroine has been featured many times before, and so has the rakish hero that is sure to win her heart, but in the hands of Sarah Maclean, their personalities and their stories transcends the archetypes and they simply become …. real.
A lady does not smoke cheroot. She does not ride astride. She does not fence or attend duels. She does not fire a pistol, and she never gambles at a gentlemen's club.
Lady Calpurnia Hartwell has always followed the rules, rules that have left her unmarried—and more than a little unsatisfied. And so she's vowed to break the rules and live the life of pleasure she's been missing.
But to dance every dance, to steal a midnight kiss—to do those things, Callie will need a willing partner. Someone who knows everything about rule-breaking. Someone like Gabriel St. John, the Marquess of Ralston—charming and devastatingly handsome, his wicked reputation matched only by his sinful smile.
If she's not careful, she'll break the most important rule of all—the one that says that pleasure-seekers should never fall hopelessly, desperately in love.
