The Bat by Jo Nesbø is $2.99 right now. This is the first book in the Harry Hole series. This is a mystery/thriller about a Norwegian detective sent to Sydney, Australia, to investigate a murder. Later books in the Harry Hole series were translated and published here first, so if you're a mystery fan, you may have read later books in the series already.

While reading the description of The Mating Hunt, I read this When he’s forced into mating with her to save her life, and thought “fucking her ass, saving her life!” Please tell me I wasn’t the only one.
I just (12/20/13) purchased 1222 at Amazon. After I completed my $1.99 purchase, Amazon offered my the unabridged Audible version for an additional $2.99. I have no idea if this is a deal they offer everyone or how long it will last. I think the audio version showed at $17.99 before I purchased the e-book.
