Books on Sale: More Box Sets by Theme

I featured three box sets of backlist titles organized by theme recently, and there are now three more on sale for .99c.

Book Good Guy Heroes Good Guy Heroes is a set of five novels for .99c.

He’s the one who won’t let you down. A man of honor, a peace-keeper, a hero with a heart of gold. If you need a protector, he’s your man. Every woman dreams of a knight in shining armor who will keep her – and her heart — safe when the going gets tough. You’ll find five of them right here. This boxed set features five full-length romance novels with “good guy” heroes:

Dear Cupid by Julie Ortolon
Romance advice columnist Kate Bradshaw is in serious danger of losing her Dear Cupid column due to a recently soured attitude toward love, marriage, and men in general. She needs something fun to rekindle her belief in Happy Ever After. What better project than helping Mike Cameron, a sexy movie animator, find a wife? Mike just hopes love-shy Kate doesn’t figure out he has his sights set on her.

Kissing in the Dark by Wendy Lindstrom
Sheriff Duke Grayson, a man of fierce integrity, is shocked when he discovers his beautiful wife Faith lied about her identity and is hiding from a man with the power to destroy their family – and Duke’s fine reputation as a lawman. Torn between his code of honor and his love for Faith, Duke must put everything on the line when the man from Faith’s past finds her.

Lost in Temptation by Lauren Royal
England, 1815 – Lady Alexandra Chase has always done what was expected of her. But when the man she's loved since her girlhood returns from a long spell abroad, she quite suddenly finds herself hoping the fine lord her brother has picked for her won't propose.

Kiss the Cook by Jacquie D’Alessandro
When it gets too hot in the kitchen, that's a good time to turn UP the heat! It's a recipe for mayhem when a caterer desperate for a bank loan discovers that the sexiest man she's ever met holds the future of her fledgling business in his hands.

Prelude to a Wedding by Patricia McLinn
Charming Paul Monroe has the Peter Pan thing down pat. As an antique toy appraiser, even his work involves play. Which is fine, unless your job is to keep his Chicago business running smoothly despite that charm — and sexiness — being aimed at you. Bette Wharton handles the toughest clients with aplomb, until free spirit Paul challenges her to break out of the office and into life … and love.

 Book Bad Boys Box Set

The Bad Boy Heroes Box Set is four books for .99c. These are all backlist titles – including one from Barbara Samuel.

Outlaws, rebels and rogues. A bad boy is the guy with a leather jacket, a killer reputation, and little regard for the rules. He’s more than a little dangerous — but you just can’t resist. Take a walk on the wild side with one of these men and you might lose more than your heart. This boxed set features four full-length romance novels with “bad boy” heroes:

Secret Thunder by Patricia Ryan

But she hasn't counted on her riot of conflicting emotions when Luke de Perigueux, the infamous “Black Dragon,” takes her in his arms. Not only does he have a reputation for savage fury on the battlefield–fury he unleashed against her own people not long ago–but it soon becomes apparent that her lord husband is hiding a dark and terrible secret.

Follow the Sun by Judith Arnold
L.A. Post reporter Sandra Garcia is assigned to write a puff piece about Rafael Perez, who escaped the streets of East L.A. to become a successful film producer. But did he really escape? Trust in Me by Kathryn Shay
They were called The Outlaws when they were young, but no one in stock car racing town Glen Oaks knew the kids on the streets would grow up to be such upstanding citizens. Follow three couples as they struggle to find happiness. “This powerful tale of redemption, friendship, trust and forgiveness shows once again that Shay knows how to pack an emotional wallop.” -Booklist

Breaking the Rules by Barbara Samuel
Mattie O’Neal is on the run. She's chopped off her hair, stolen a car, changed her name, and is hiding in a tiny Arizona town, slinging hash. She thought she was safe – until Zeke Shephard walked through the door. Rugged, hard-edged Zeke doesn't get involved–but there's something about Mattie's courage that catches his sympathy. When the thugs who want to silence Mattie forever show up, Zeke steps in and takes her to his own private hideaway, where the two must decide if the link between them is worth fighting for…and if they can stay alive long enough to explore it.

Silken Threads
Graeham Fox comes to London to rescue his overlord’s daughter from her abusive husband, in return for which he is promised her sister’s hand in marriage and a vast estate—quite a prize for a landless soldier who’s never had a home of his own. Attacked and disabled by a broken leg, he rents a room in the humble home of Joanna Chapman, a silk merchant’s widow. Joanna, having learned not to trust handsome, charming devils like Graeham, lets him think her husband is still alive in order to keep him at a distance. Mindful of his mission—and the promised reward—Graeham struggles to resist his feelings for Joanna, but the white-hot desire simmering between them cannot be denied. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, Silken Threads was honored with Romance Writers of America’s RITA® Award for Best Long Historical Romance.

    Chris J. says:

I bought all three of the first round of box sets, and they seem to be paying off*, so I’m now buying all three of these.

*At least one enjoyable novel per set.  Even if I only like one of the books in each set, 99 cents for a good book is a great bargain.

    SB Sarah says:

That was my thinking – sometimes backlist category romances don’t work for me, but when I find one that does, it’s SO much fun to read! For 99c, if there’s one or two out of five, I’m perfectly happy. Glad you like them, too!
