Books on Sale: Award-Winning Contemporaries from Fiona Lowe, Nora Roberts and Rachel Gibson and more

Book Boomerang BrideBoomerang Bride by Fiona Lowe is .99c today as the Kindle Daily Deal. This book won the RITA® for Best Contemporary Romance in 2012. The price hasn't been matched at other retailers but it may be by the end of the day.

Matilda Geoffrey had risked it all for love. She'd left Australia to be with Barry—the man who had swept her off her virtual feet.

Now, wearing a wedding dress, she's alone on Main Street in small-town Wisconsin, and things aren't working out exactly as planned….

In town for his annual family visit, Marc Olsen had never seen a bride quite like Matilda—staring into a storefront window, holding a tottering wedding cake and looking desperately in need of a groom.

He doesn't have many warm feelings for his hometown, but meeting Matilda just as she discovers she's been scammed by her online “fiancé” stirs something in him. Matilda is not the kind of woman Marc imagined himself with, and Marc is anything but the romantic hero that Matilda has always dreamed of.

But as unlikely circumstances throw them together, can they let go of their misconceptions and risk their hearts for love?

Book Circle of Bones Circle of Bones is another Kindle Daily Deal – it's $1.99. This is an adventure-thriller with a romance element. It features a very strong heroine and a layered mystery. (I think I'm buying this one because I like all of those things!)

Based on one of the strangest true mysteries of World War II, Christine Kling's new adventure thriller CIRCLE OF BONES begins aboard the ill-fated French submarine Surcouf as she departs Bermuda in 1942 on her final voyage into the Caribbean.

Fast forward to 2008 when former U.S. Marine Maggie Riley is sailing alone aboard her forty-foot sailboat. She rescues a crazy conspiracy-spouting treasure hunter/archeologist who is swimming nude off the island of Guadeloupe. She soon learns he is searching for the wreck of the submarine Surcouf that vanished in 1942.

He claims the sub holds millions in gold coins as well as secret documents that will prove the existence of a powerful inner circle of Skull and Bones whose goal is to keep America at war. And he asks for her help in decoding the journals that are the key to the location of the wreck.

Riley joins Cole's search for the wreck when she discovers her own past intersects the inner Circle of Bones, and this conspiracy nut might not be so crazy after all.

 Book Rising Tides

RECOMMENDED: Speaking of seafaring stories, Rising Tides is still on sale. This is book 2 in the Chesapeake Bay trilogy (later a quartet) and is the story of Ethan,  who is quiet and dedicated to his family, and carries a wealth of hidden emotional baggage. There is a larger mystery that plays out across the three books of the original trilogy, so if you haven't read it, you should probably start with book 1, Sea Swept, which, alas, is not on sale. That said, of the three (or four) this one is my favorite.

Of the three brothers, it was Ethan who shared his father's passion for the Maryland shore. And now with his father gone, Ethan is determined to make the family boatbuilding business a success. But amidst his achievements lie the most important challenges of his life… There is young Seth, who needs him more than ever.

And there is a woman he has always loved but never believed he could have. But beneath Ethan's seemingly still waters is a dark and painful past. He must learn to see around the shadows to accept who he is.

Because through Ethan's past lies the future–and his one chance at happiness…

Book Rescue Me  Rescue Me is book #3 in the Lovett, Texas, series, and is still on sale at $2.99 digitally – or $1.99 at Amazon. Book #2 is a novella, Crazy On You, which is available digitally for $1.99 ( A | BN | K | S | ARe | iB ). You could pick up the whole series so far for about $7. Not bad!

She’s 33, unmarried, and stuffed into a Bubble Yum pink bridesmaid dress. And the whole town wants to fix her up with anyone with a dental plan… Who’s going to rescue Sadie Hollowell now?

Everyone in Lovett, Texas knows Sadie has always been a ‘notional’ kind of gal. She got a notion to leave town ASAP and never visit her daddy (bless his heart). Now, she’s back and got the notion to invite a good-looking, hard-muscled, total stranger to her cousin’s wedding. Better a stranger than some of the losers she’s dated.

Vince Haven got his muscles the hard way–as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan. He’s staying in Lovett to visit his crazy aunt–the proprietor of the local Gas N Go. Before he can get the heck back out of the small town, his aunt makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Maybe he’ll stick around Lovett for a while. Maybe he’ll make a ‘go’ of the Gas N Go.

Maybe he’ll rescue Sadie out of that pink dress!

Would really like to buy 3 out of these 4 books, but nope, can’t have them cause I’m in Oz.

Thanks so much, Kelly. I realize I already read that but wow, there’s a big gap between those books isn’t there? Daisy was written in 2004 and the others weren’t written until 2012.
