Romantic Times: The Bag! The Books! The Swag!

One thing I love to do is a giveaway for the swag bag at RT. Each attendee receives a conference bag stuffed with promotional items, plus a choice of some books from the goody room. I have the bag, some books, plus an extra treat.

Here's a picture of the contents of the bag:

Contents of RT bag 2013

Here are the books that I got from the goody room and from authors to include:

Books from RT, including two samplers.

If you can't see all the titles, the books include two samplers of erotic romance and YA romance, plus the following titles:

Book The Isis Collar Book My Fair Concubine Book Christmas Rescue at Mustang Ridge

Book Accidentally Wolf Book Turning the Tide Book The Next One To Fall

Plus, I have a coupon for up to $25.00 off your next ebook order at the Carina Press store, courtesy of Carina Press (thank you!). The coupon is valid until 31 August 2013, one time use, and only for Carina Press books – but that's a loooootta books to choose from.

ETA: I also have two cards for a free ebook downloads of the anthology Five Golden Rings, plus the Vampires Gone Wild anthology as well!

Interested? Excellent! Please leave a comment and tell me what you'd bring to RT if you went next year, and you're entered to win.

Standard disclaimers apply: I am not being compensated for this giveaway. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to party to win. Your mileage may vary. Tiaras are not optional. Comments close 12:00 PM CDT Saturday 4 May 2013. I'll choose the winner at random and ship the package from here.

If I have the opportunity to add more books to the bag, I absolutely will, so the prize may get a bit bigger. I'm presuming that's ok with you? Ok, then.  I want to send someone a piece of RT, and I hope whomever wins enjoys it!

And the winner is… Jennifer from GA, #37! Congratulations and thank you to everyone who entered! I hope I get to meet all of you at RT in 2014!

It’s so nice to know that I’m not the only one who’d bring fun shoes.  Despite the fact that I *know* they’d make my feet hurt, I’d so bring a pair of bright or funky or just awesome shoes.

In case you couldn’t tell, shoes are my other love, after books.

  2. Colleen says:

I would bring my comfy pants for reading in my room and my Kobo

  3. Carrie C says:

Gigantic rolling suitcase for all the books I would purchase (and to avoid wrenching my arm out of my socket carrying them all home).

  4. AmyA says:

Ooh, I love the coffee ideas and the journal.  I’m always writing things down in my “notebook”.  Pretty shoes, of course, because there is always an excuse to buy more!

  5. LisaJo885 says:

I would bring a FedEx shipping account number because I’d be picking up a LOT off books. Also? My love for reading and the authors who feed my addiction.

  6. kasey says:

I would bring comfy shoes, a rolling case for the swag & books & stuff, a water bottle and a thermos of coffee to help me stay awake.

Regardless I just went and found that book in the first picture (Second Hand) and wishlisted it because it looked interesting and I’ve been on a m/m romance kick.  I’ve had a little taste of talking to authors from Dreamspinner Press at a small con (and left with a pile of books) and can’t even imagine the giddiness of RT.

  7. Kaetrin says:

I guess I’d have to bring something from South Australia to share. Perhaps wine? 🙂

  8. Traci says:

Like others have said, I would definitely need a large bag, preferably rolling to pick up all the goodies I could carry. Comfy shoes would also be a must.

  9. Sybylla18 says:

An empty suitcase so I could bring home all the new books, and apparently a tiara since the contest disclaimer states that they are not optional.

  10. Tiffany says:

I would bring my book loving sisters.

  11. Liz says:

I’d bring comfy shoes, an extra suitcase for all the books and swag I know I’d wind up with and my online book friends, because none of my IRL friends would get how awesome it would be to go to RT!

  12. Jikie says:

Comfy shoes, a notebooks, and breathing instructions for when I freak out and panic while meeting new people.

  13. Alaina says:

I would bring some awesome chocolate. I can’t go without!

  14. If I were going to RT, the one thing I would make sure to bring would be a special cash fund for the UPS store.  That way I would be able to have room for everything I wanted to bring home! 🙂

  15. Tarja says:

I like your blog, so I would try book an interview with you

  16. jcp says:

    huge empty tote bag

  17. Karen Wapinski says:

A big bright bag to carry everything in, plenty of coffee to stay awake and a bag of chocolate covered orange peels because they’re delicious and easy to share. ^_^

  18. RaeRae says:

I’d bring a backpack—every time I go to conventions I wish I’d brought my ergonomic and comfy backpack instead of a tote that cuts off my circulation!

  19. Texas Book Lover says:

Well I have never been to a book convention but next year is on my birthday and not that far so I think I might want to ask to go as my birthday gift.  I think I would bring a cute bag to put all my goodies in, comfy but cute shoes and dark chocolate to stuff my big old mouth with while everyone else is drinking cause I can’t drink thanks to my pesky medicine!

    Thanks so much!

  20. SB Sarah says:

Thank you to everyone who entered! I’ve picked a winner and amended the original entry – congrats to Jennifer in GA!
