Friday Videos Always Treat You Right

Melanie G. sent this over to me – the song might not be your thing, but the visual is fantastic. Melanie explains, “Romance covers come to life in this music video by Keys N Krates!”

Keys N Krates – Treat Me Right from Ohji on Vimeo.

Do you recognize any of those covers from the art? I was sure I almost knew two of them but I can't quite remember the title.

I hope your weekend is filled with familiar things you love – and people who treat you right.

    I loved the shark explosion!

It’s been ages since I’ve read older romance, but I swear I recognize the one bit with the couple on the Pegasus.

  2. Melanie G. says:

And the funny thing is I found it on Andrew Sullivan’s political blog.  One of their Mental Health Break videos!

  3. Vicki says:

That was fun. I have totally seen several of those covers but longer ago I don’t remember the stories (now that I am no longer disclosing my age, I have to be careful what I admit to remembering).

  4. MelonieJ says:

I totally recognised the cover that appears from 1:05 to about 1:07, that porn stache is hard to forget. Took me a second of googling to remember the exact title though – it’s Forbidden by Elizabeth Lowell: http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/historical-romance/images/9733390/title/elizabeth-lowell-photo

  5. I love that!  Shark explosion is definitely wondrous.  And one of the covers is mine from the first in my Viking Brides series, The Reluctant Princess.  Some of the others are familiar, though I’m not remember specific titles.  Such tasty goodness!

  6. Anne Clark says:

This so totally made my Friday…thanks you guys ROCK!

  7. cleo says:

So much awesomeness.  The waving panda, the femme fatales, the mermaid, the exploding shark, the badass women in the blue jumpsuits with the weirdly prominent belly buttons.  I feel like I’ve seen some of these covers before, but it’s hard to say if I’ve seen these exact ones or just so many similar covers.

  8. kmleeh says:

Wasn’t the flying horse one featured in a caption that cover?

  9. cleo says:

@kmleeh – I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that flying horse cover posted here too – either in a caption that cover or covers gone wild.

  10. Karen H near Tampa says:

The book that starts it off is “Beloved Highlander” by Sara Bennett.  The flying horse book is Kathleen Morgan’s “A Certain Magic.”  I can probably find a couple more but I’m getting tired so I’ll try to look tomorrow.

  11. Karen H near Tampa says:

I found a few more if anyone is interested.

0:42   The Lost Moon Flower by Bethany Campbell
0:59   A Game of Scandal by Kathryn Smith
1:02   His Wicked Promise by Samantha James
1:08   In Destiny’s Arms by Christine Michels
