Friday Videos Love Dogs and Snow

I hope this embed works for everyone – it should be universally visible. Christiann Rosemurgy let her dog out during a blizzard in Michigan, and the result made me laugh every single time I watched it – and I think I've watched it six or seven times in a row.

(For those who can't see the video: the dog goes out into the snow, and goes down the back porch stairs and WHOOMP disappears into a snowbank about 3-4' high. It's hilarious.)

I hope your weekend is full of awesomeness and excellent adventures, with or without dogs.

  1. Heh. I can just imagine my little dachshund in that situation. We’d be digging her out for days, and she’d be miffed!

  2. Joykenn says:

Just wait til you see a CAT who thinks she wants to go out.  She never gets down a step cause she stops and first licks the snow, then shakes her paws, snaps at snowflakes falling down and then wants to go back in.

  3. Lori says:

Ah, the life of a Michigan dog. When I was a kid we had an apricot poodle. Several times a year we’d up up with a smallish, off-white dog in a snow drift in our backyard. We were always glad that she managed to bounce her way out of her own, because if we’d had to look for her it would have been tricky.

Also, how much do I love that Christiann’s pup has a stuffed angry bird? A lot, that’s how much.

  4. Even guessing what was going to happen, I chortled!

  5. Maura747 says:

I love that the dog’s tail wags even after falling face first into the drift.

  6. The Other Susan says:

OM Dog…funny.  I hate to think what would happen to my 21 lb Schneagle (beagle and miniature schauzer mix.)  Might not be able to find her in all that snow!

  7. Faellie says:

    Up Periscope!
