Back in 2006, I fielded a question for Lovely Salome, better known as Carrie Lofty, asking which Nora Roberts novel she should read first. A sort of precursor to the “Which One First?” feature, done six years ago.
Now that Nora Roberts has written approximately 14,576,469,354.7 books since then, I think it's time to update that list. Another reader is asking for help. Meet Jordan:
I've really loved all the the “What Should I Read Next” of old school romance posts you have done! As a recent convert to the romance genre (Hi, my name is Jordan and I've been a Romance reader for 5 years now. *Hi Jordan*), those have been really helpful since digging through authors who've been publishing for a while is pretty intimidating.
I would love to see more of those, and personally I'd love one for Nora Roberts. I'm a hardcore J.D. Robb fangirl, probably because I slowly migrated from scifi/fantasy and mystery over to romance, but Roberts' more mainstream stuff (contemporary and historical) is just so plentiful – I don't know where to start!
That thread from 2006 still contains some of my favorite Nora Roberts' novels, but there are so many more (SO MANY MORE).

Which are your two favorite Nora Roberts novels that you'd recommend to Jordan?
Wow… so hard to choose… I absolutely LOVE Nora Roberts but only really discovered her a couple of years ago by picking up a copy of High Noon. Since then I’ve been getting every Nora Roberts books I can get my hands on. My second pick would be Naked in Death, which then forced me to go around to different libraries to check out the rest of the series.
After giving this many days of thought (and checking Delicious Library), I’m going with CARNAL INNOCENCE (because Tucker) and the Quinn Brothers series (because Cam, Ethan, Philip and Seth). Also, they’re the NR books I reread the most. (At least they were at one time. Now they’re packed away in storage. *sob*)
Normally I’d say just pick up a Nora Roberts, book. Any one of them. But I just love “Hidden Riches” and have gone back to read and re-read it over and over. What’s not to love about a hero, Jed Skimmerhorn (and isn’t that a great name?) who gives the woman of his dreams a set of first edition Nancy Drew mysteries? My other choice is “Daring to Dream” with a hero that let’s the heroine find her own feet after stumbling into almost bankruptcy?
