Book The Accidental Countess

The Accidental Countess is $1.99 for a very limited time. The prices on these three Michelle Willingham titles should be good in Canada as well as in the US, I think. Australia, I have no way of knowing – tell me if they are? I hope so.

When Stephen Chesterfield, the Earl of Whitmore, awakes to find a beautiful woman berating him, he knows he is in trouble! He cannot recall the past three months of his life, never mind having a wife! What's more, someone is trying to silence him before his memory returns….

Emily Chesterfield is trapped in a marriage of convenience with a man who doesn't remember her. Stephen clearly thinks she is the most unsuitable countess, but she is falling for her enigmatic husband…. Can they find trust and love before it is too late?

Book The Accidental Princess

The Accidental Princess is #3 in Willingham's Accidental series. The fourth book, The Accidental Prince , is on sale now, and seriously, I think the cover model looks a lot like Taylor Swift.

Lieutenant Michael Thorpe is a forbidden temptation for Lady Hannah Chesterfield. Etiquette demands Hannah ignore the shivers of desire his wicked gaze provokes, but he's the only man to recognize her restless spirit, and her unawakened body is clamoring for his touch….

Thrown together by scandal, a defiant Hannah joins Michael on an adventure to uncover the secret of his birth—is this common soldier really a prince? If so, will the ordinary man who has taught Hannah the meaning of pleasure now make her his royal bride?

Book The Governess Affair

The Governess Affair, a prequel novella to Milan's Brothers Sinister series, is usually 99c, but it's free right now at Amazon. I gave this novella a B+ when it came out – it's lovely.

Three months ago, governess Serena Barton was let go from her position. Unable to find new work, she's demanding compensation from the man who got her sacked: a petty, selfish, swinish duke. But it's not the duke she fears. It's his merciless man of business–the man known as the Wolf of Clermont. The formidable former pugilist has a black reputation for handling all the duke's dirty business, and when the duke turns her case over to him, she doesn't stand a chance. But she can't stop trying–not with her entire future at stake.

Hugo Marshall is a man of ruthless ambition–a characteristic that has served him well, elevating the coal miner's son to the right hand man of a duke. When his employer orders him to get rid of the pestering governess by fair means or foul, it's just another day at the office. Unfortunately, fair means don't work on Serena, and as he comes to know her, he discovers that he can't bear to use foul ones. But everything he has worked for depends upon seeing her gone. He'll have to choose between the life that he needs, and the woman he is coming to love…

Book When you Give a Duke a Diamond

When You Give a Duke a Diamond is the first book in Galen's Jewels of the Ton series, and has a 3.98 average at GoodReads. It's currently $1.99. Have you read this one?

HE HAD A PERFECTLY ORDERLY LIFE…

William, the sixth Duke of Pelham, enjoys his punctual. securely structured life. Orderly and predictable-that's the way he likes it. But he's in the public eye, and the scandal sheets will make up anything to sell papers. When the gossips link him to Juliette, one of the most beautiful and celebrated courtesans in London, chaos doesn't begin to describe what happens next…

UNTIL SHE CAME ALONG…

Juliette is nicknamed the Duchess of Dalliance, and has the cream of the nobility at her beck and call. It's seriously disruptive to have the duke who's the biggest catch on the Marriage Mart scaring her other suitors away. Then she discovers William's darkest secret and decides what he needs in his life is the kind of excitement only she can provide…

Can I just say that I love the covers of the “accidental” books and in particular the fact that the models have real-looking bodies?  With heads and everything!

Is the duke standing on her dress??

  3. jliedl says:

Drat you as an enabler – I just ordered all three of Willingham’s books, here, via amazon.ca (where the same low prices held, woohoo!).

  4. MaryHeather says:

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed “When You Give a Duke a Diamond”. I bought it on sale a few months back, and I wasn’t expecting to like it so much as it initially seemed a bit too “stern duke” meets “fallen woman”. The cliches were still there but I enjoyed it anyway. Good price for a good read.

PEOPLE! This must stop! I now have 294 books in my e-TBR pile! TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY FOUR! (It was 291 five minutes ago.) I’m going to have to give up this website for a few months so I can TRY to catch up.

  6. Whitefoxfire53 says:

Nah, clearly he is hovering at her side, quite literally, to avoid that very action, because as everyone knows, getting boot stains out of bright yellow is just a pain.

  7. Vasha says:

Well, I have just read “The Governess Affair” and “The Duchess War” and enjoyed them very much; thank you guys for the recommendations. The resolution of Hugo’s emotional dilemma in the former really made me weepy. Courtney Milan is going on my list to buy more.

I have one niggle, though; in both books, the hero physically assaults someone on behalf of his ladylove. This is such a cliche that it seems like an obligatory proof of virility. I don’t like that. I think the association of virility and violence has to die, right away.

  8. Beccah W. says:

Yay free novella! I now have an extensive TBR pile as well…lots of reading to do. Sadly I started reading IT by Stephen King, and that book is so long I feel like I’ll never finish!

And – I love those cover models. They’re dresses aren’t falling off, and they have round torsos like normal women! Good stuff.

  9. Evamaria N says:

I can happily report that the books available on aRe are also on sale for European readers – I’m in Switzerland and just purchased them all for the discounted prices named above!

  10. Bnbsrose says:

Just 294? It can be a lot worse. BELIEVE me.
