Time to announce the February Book Club Pick! Our selection is Destiny's Embrace by Beverly Jenkins.
Summary time! Gentleman Seeks Housekeeper. Must be willing to travel.
Desperate for another life away from Philadelphia, headstrong and beautiful Mariah Cooper answers an advertisement for a housekeeper at the other end of the continent. Waiting in California is the most breathtaking–and arrogant–man she has ever met . . . and he'd like nothing better than for Mariah to go back home!
Logan Yates has run Destiny, the family ranch, since he was a boy. He doesn't need this Eastern miss his stepmother hired, though his home's chaotic state suggests otherwise. Still, he's secretly pleased that Mariah gives as good as she gets–and he must fight the urge to take her in his arms and kiss her whenever she proudly stands her ground. But when he's in danger of losing her, Logan will have to choose between pride . . . and his heart's true desire.
This book is very much about Mariah, her adventures, and her increasing strength. I was very happy traveling with Mariah from Philadelphia to California, and getting a glimpse of what travel and life was like then. I hope you enjoy the book, too!
The book is available digitally and in paperback. As always, All Romance eBooks is offering the 50% eBook Buck rebate if you use code SBTBARE at checkout. The rebate is good from February 1-14, 2013.
And if paper is your thing, you can find a copy at Amazon, BN, or your local bookstore.
And we have a book club chat date set, too!
The Book Club Chat will be 28 February at 9:00pm ET. Beverly Jenkins will join us at 10pm ET for Q&A.

We hosted Ms. Jenkins last year for her book Indigo, and that was a very lively and fun discussion. I hope you give this book a try, and that you find it as interesting as I did. I'll be looking forward to discussing it with you. Enjoy!
I’ve been meaning to read a Jenkins book, so I’ll take advantage of the opportunity. See you at the end of the month.
I hope you enjoy it!!
I am so excited to see this book featured. Jenkins is a legend.
Well, I am a sucker for the “professional relationship that gets steamy as hell” scenario so I think I will like this one! And I read Vivid not long ago and really enjoyed it, so I am a bit concerned that I am going to soon end up completely hooked on all things Beverley Jenkins. 🙂
Just finished this book. Definitely had some yummy parts, but… Well, I don’t know. Is it growing on me in hindsight? Maybe. Looking forward to the discussion.
