That's the whole series for $6 – not a bad deal at all, especially considering that the review average for each book on Goodreads gets higher as the series goes on.

Are these romances?
I’ve been searching for a new-to-me urban fantasy series and these sound great!
All I can think of is the Jim C. Hines/John Scalzi cover battle.
Ooh, can we play “who is she” for each cover? I’m getting Buffy for Book 2, and Lara Croft for Book 3. Who else? Maybe a little bit of Gabrielle (from Xena) for Book 5.
It’s dark urban fantasy, with a romantic element mixed in. Which is to say, sorta.
I couldn’t get into this series and stopped at Book 2 (book 3 is lying around somewhere in my library), but this is a good deal for anyone looking for a new UF series to try.
That said, I adore Pettersson’s new rockabilly UF series.
Just a FYI. I’d liked this series enough to read them from the library. Their 7.99 Kindle price (same as paperback) kept me from buying them though. Soooo, I was glad to hear they were on sale.
I rely on Amazon to warn me if I already own a book and didn’t remember if I had bought book 1 or just read it. Well, I had already bought it but the title had “with additional bonus material” after the title of the original so Amazon didn’t warn me I already owned it—different titles, different book according to Amazon. I’d run into this before with some reissues of romance titles and wound up buying two copies. Sigh. Thought I’d mention it so others can be alert to this.
I did snap up the others in the series and recommend them if you are in the mood for urban fantasy. Pettersson is a good writer.
Yeah, when a publisher puts a book out under a new ASIN instead of updating the previous one you won’t get the already bought it warning. This especially happens with HarperCollins “bonus materials” Freebie and $0.99 books.
Totally with you, Charon. Most of the cover art is very Buffy. Book 1 could be Faith, or maybe Elektra without the scarf? The last one is like something out of that Neil Gaiman comic I could never get into. And 4 is…Jon Bon Jovi?
Ok, I got really excited to find that all of them were available for 99cent, only to discover that ALL of these books are 7.99 for me – in Kindle or paperback!!! I have the first two in paperback, but refuse to fork out more to get the rest. Sigh – why does Amazon do these things to me?? I obviously live in the wrong region!!
