Kiss of Steel - Steampunk When Nowhere is Safe

Most people avoid the dreaded Whitecapel district. For Honoria Todd, it's the last safe haven. But at what price? Blade is known as the master of the rookeries—no one dares cross him.

It's been said he faced down the Echelon's army single–handedly, that ever since being infected by the blood–craving he's been quicker, stronger, and almost immortal.

When Honoria shows up at his door, his tenuous control comes close to snapping. She's so…innocent. He doesn't see her backbone of steel—or that she could be the very salvation he's been seeking.

Enraptured Book #4 of the Eternal Guardians series.

Orpheus—To most he's an enigma, a devil-may-care rogue who does whatever he pleases whenever he wants. Now this loose cannon is part of the Eternal Guardians—elite warriors assigned to protect the human realm—whether he likes it or not.

Orpheus has just one goal: to rescue his brother from the Underworld. He's not expecting a woman to get in the way. Especially not a Siren as gorgeous as Skyla. He has no idea she's an assassin sent by Zeus to seduce, entrap, and ultimately destroy him.

Yet Skyla herself might have the most to lose. There's a reason Orpheus feels so familiar to her, a reason her body seems to crave him. Perhaps he's not the man everyone thinks… The truth could reveal a deadly secret as old as the Eternal Guardians themselves.

Kiss of the Goblin King He is like a prince in a fairy tale: tall, outrageously handsome, and way too dark for her own good. Amanda has been hurt before, though. And with her daughter's illness, the last thing she needs right now is a man.

But the power of Dai King is hard to resist. And when he threads his hands through her hair and pulls her in for a kiss, there is no denying it feels achingly right. After being trapped in the Shadowlands for centuries with the goblin horde a constant threat, Dai revels in his newfound freedom back in the human realm.

But even with the centuries of magic he's accumulated, he still doesn't know how to heal Amanda's daughter—and it breaks his heart. Yet for the woman he loves, he'd risk anything…including a retun to the Shadowlands.

  1. Sarah, is Kiss of the Goblin Prince the book that aroused your ire for Photoshopped tattoos? Because that’s a pretty egregious example.

  2. SB Sarah says:

    WHY YES. YES IT IS.

(I tweeted earlier, “I sound like conspiracy theorist, but I believe multi-publisher collusion on Fake Photoshop Tattoo Use did happen.”)

  3. Vasha says:

From “Kiss of Steel”: He doesn’t see her backbone of steel… That cover pose is another one that requires a backbone of the named substance to pull off (quite a hip twist).

  4. Ah jeeze. I misread the summary of Kiss of the Goblin prince and read Dai king as Dah king. I misinterpreted the book as a romance novel involving an orc hero.
