Wellll…. Not so excellent. I started susanna kearsley’s “Mariana” and soon gave up in disgust at the airheaded heroine, as well as the author’s giving her all the breaks to help her past her utter unpracticality: gobs of money, successful artistic career, perfect house (which is enormous, but you bet she won’t be shown spending all her time on cleaning and maintenance)… Now all she needs is the perfect man. I’m not sticking aroind for it.

Vasha, I agree with you. I’ve enjoyed Kearsley’s other books but I am having a hard go with Mariana. I really did like The Winter Sea and Every Secret Thing. You might try one of her others.
