Links and Sales of the Day: YA, Bowling, and Paramilitary Rescue!

A giant book in a shopping cart

Ready for some sales and tempting prices?! If not, I'm sorry. Hey, look over there! Is that a squirrel?

Tempest Rising - Tracy Deebs Thanks to Heather who sent a heads up that Tracy Deebs' YA novel Tempest Rising, book 2 in the Tempest series, is $1.99.

Tempest Maguire wants nothing more than to surf the killer waves near her California home; continue her steady relationship with her boyfriend, Mark; and take care of her brothers and surfer dad. But Tempest is half mermaid, and as her seventeenth birthday approaches, she will have to decide whether to remain on land or give herself to the ocean like her mother.

The pull of the water becomes as insistent as her attraction to Kai, a gorgeous surfer whose uncanny abilities hint at an otherworldly identity as well. And when Tempest does finally give in to the water's temptation and enters a fantastical underwater world, she finds that a larger destiny awaits her-and that the entire ocean's future hangs in the balance.

The Perfect Score - Beth Williamson

AllRomance has some exclusive free ebooks this month, starting with The Perfect Score by Beth Williamson (who, by virtue of rocking a W along with me, Jaye Wells and Lauren Willig, was part of a rollicking good W table at the RT signing last year). This book is three stories in one, they're erotic, and they're about bowling. No, really.

The Perfect Score Tournament is coming to the small town of Espejo, Texas. The biggest bowling tournament in the state is going to change the lives of three friends.

What they find is more than a 300 game.

Available free at AllRomance.

HE'LL TAKE ANY MISSION, THE RISKIER THE BETTER…

Amelia Bailey's not the kind of girl who usually needs rescuing…but there are anything but usual circumstances.

    YA, Bowling, and Paramilitary Rescue.

    Best. Title. Ever.

And thanks for the info about the free ARe book today.  I’ve been burned by ARe freebies in the past, so any recs during their promo are welcome.  After the last so-bad-it-should-have-been-good-but-it-was-still-really-bad freebie promo book, I resolved to only click on books by authors that I’d heard of.

Simon & Schuster books are 30% off at Books on Board.  You can’t use their extra discount or rewards dollars on the books, but 30% is a good discount considering they weren’t discounted at all before.

I just bought the last two Kresley Cole books.  I know what I’ll be doing this weekend!

I think it’s really amusing how many books are called “Hot Zone”. I know that I personally have 3 different romance novels with that title and a quick Amazon search gives me at least half a dozen others.
