Hanukkah Extravaganzah, Part the Sixth!

A computer generated image of a menorah with a book in front of it. On the sixth night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches gave to me: another Kindle WiFi Paperwhite so when I read in the dark I can see!

A Kindle Paperwhite - WiFi only, sadly not blind-accessible. Yup, we're still sharing the reader love this Hanukkah! I'm giving away a  Wi-Fi Kindle Paperwhite with Special Offers at random to someone in the comments.

All you have to do (no big deal) is tell us what book you're most looking forward to reading, soon, next year, whatever. What's burning up your TBR pile? Because hey, if we're going to recommed books, we're going to recommend 300+ books, right? Right.

Standard disclaimers apply:  I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age and ready to read pretty much anytime to win. Open to international residents.

You have 24 hours to leave your comment. I've got a few hours to wrap more presents, and then we can all take a break and read, k?

Happy Hanukkah, everyone!

Reading this thread is so bad for my TBR pile.
The thing I’m most looking forward to reading is a difficult question. In the immediate future, the new Courtney Milan. Want the most is probably the new Vorkosigan book, but I won’t get that until it comes out in paperback. Also the new Outlander has me totally psyched. So many good books coming out this year!

  2. Mary H. says:

I want to read Chance of a Lifetime by Jodi Thomas. Love the Harmony series!

  3. Natalie H6 says:

Lover At Last! I cannot wait for Qhuinn and Blay’s story!

  4. Carrie G says:

Should I just import my to-read list from Goodreads? I’m looking forward to Sarah Mayberry’s Suddenly You, plus books by Courtney Milan and Ruthie Knox. I’m also glomming all the Sandra Brown audiobooks I can, especially those narrated by Viktor Slezak. And I’m still working through the Vorkosigan books on audiobook—so wonderful! The cliche is so true—so many books, so little time!

  5. Atunah says:

I have so much I am really looking forward too. But one in particular is “House Rules” by Chloe Neill. I think it comes out sometimes in February. I read the first 6 in the series fast. I was trying to pace myself, but that didn’t work. So now I have to wait.

  6. ekburi says:

I have ten books waiting on my nook for my vacation the week of christmas.  That’s what I am looking forward to.  And also reading Barbara Kingsolver’s new book

  8. Alex K. says:

I need to start the Wallflowers series by Lisa Kleypas. My friends have been raving about it!

  9. Emma says:

High up my TBR pile are Georgette Heyer’s Infamous Army, the last two books in the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness, and Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. As for next year, I’m looking forward to the new Meredith Duran novel in January and massively impatient for the next book in Courtney Milan’s Brothers Sinister series!

  10. Rachel says:

I’m reading the Argeneau Family series by Lynsay Sands.

  11. Ashlea says:

I keep eyeing Micharl Chanon’s Telegraph Avenue on my nightstand and then not reading it. Don’t know what’s wrong with me.

  12. I have a bunch of to-reads.  Right now, I am looking froward to Lord’s Fall by Thea Harrison (after I finish Oracle’s Moon), Cold Days by Jim Butcher, and Red Hot Holiday!

  13. Mikaela Lind says:

I want to read Heart of Briar by Laura Anne Gilman. Which is out in August. *scowls* But luckily,  CE Murphy’s Mountain Echoes are out in March. And Robin D Owens has a novella out in January. And.. And.. Ok. I’ll stop now 🙂

  14. Leigh says:

I’m really excited about The Seduction of Elliott McBride by Jennifer Ashley!

  21. Lizzie R says:

It’s not in my TBR pile yet but when it arrives all other books will be put aside.  The paperback version of Tangle of Need gets released tomorrow in the UK, so I should receive it by the 19th or 20th in Portugal and then I’m going to lock myself somewhere to read it before the end of the world on the 21st (if the Mayan calender is to be believed).

  22. Amy Schaffer says:

I’m really looking forward to Beatriz Williams’ new book, “A Hundred Summers”. I really enjoyed her debut novel ( and passed it on to a crazy number of people. Ah, the perks of being a librarian)

  23. Rebecca W. says:

I’m looking forward to reading “Lunch In Paris.” Hell, I’m looking forward to reading *anything* once I give in my thesis on Tuesday!

I am looking forward to reading ‘The Duchess War’ because I am getting it for Christmas (on Jan. 7th in these parts…) I can’t wait for Paul Hoffmann’s Angel of Death and I have a rather tall TBR pile which includes all the Terry Pratchett Hardcovers since I Shall Wear Midnight. So much to do!

  26. Liz Lincoln says:

Because of new baby and 2 year old, I did so little reading in 2012. So I’m just looking forward to reading anything, as long as it’s more than I read this year. More specific, I have a backlog of Karen Rose that I can’t wait to dive into.

  27. Kirstin says:

I’m looking forward to How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller. It comes out in February.

  28. Shannyn Schroeder says:

I’m looking forward to Ruthie Knox’s new books coming out next year. And now I’m afraid to read al the comments. I’ll never get any work done.

  29. Probably Lover at last by J.R. Ward and the third Divergent book by Veronica Roth and a whole bunch of others!

  30. Jenny Dolton says:

Robin McKinley’s Shadows. And Pegasus II and III… whenever they happen.

  31. Teresa N says:

“Vessel” by Sarah Beth Durst is at the top of my TBR pile with its reputation for strong worldbuilding and a great female protagonist…but let’s be honest, I’ll probably start (and finish) a Harlequin christmas romance book first. Tis the season 🙂

  32. Lauren says:

I can’t wait for Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs, or the next ‘Magic Something-or-other’ Kate Daniels book or Michelle Sagara’s follow up to Cast in Peril, which had a cliff hanger-ish ending and now the next book won’t be out until AUGUST….

*sigh* I also need something new to read right now…

  33. I’m eagerly awaiting the next Kate Daniels book by Ilona Andrews. And the next Cal Leandros book by Rob Thurman. And the next Vlad book by Jeaniene Frost…

  37. Ropergirl says:

Still trying to slog through the last three (eleventy more like) Diana Gabaldon books. Why can’t Claire and Jaime live HEA?!?!
