Bonus Friday Video: Giant Mice of Adorableness!

Scrinnameless sent this video of giant mice called viscachas, which seem to spend a lot of their time in the Andes sunbathing. I'm down with that – especially since today is the shortest day of the year for us in the northern hemisphere.

Link!

I hope your weekend is warm and fuzzy in all the best ways.

Viscachas! Saw them for the first time a couple years ago when I was observing on Cerro Tololo in Chile. Said, “oh, it’s a rabbit… with a squirrel’s tail?”

For more Andean cuteness, look up culpeos.
