Scrinnameless sent this video of giant mice called viscachas, which seem to spend a lot of their time in the Andes sunbathing. I'm down with that – especially since today is the shortest day of the year for us in the northern hemisphere.

Viscachas! Saw them for the first time a couple years ago when I was observing on Cerro Tololo in Chile. Said, “oh, it’s a rabbit… with a squirrel’s tail?”
