“For the first time in my life, I didn't feel envy…”

Tess is the exact opposite of her beautiful, athletic sister. And that's okay. Kristina is the sporty one, Tess is the smart one, and they each have their place. Until Kristina is diagnosed with cancer.

Suddenly Tess is the center of the popular crowd, everyone eager for updates. There are senior boys flirting with her. But, the smiles of her picture perfect family are cracking and her sister could be dying. Now Tess has to fill a new role: the strong one. Because if she doesn't hold it together, who will?

Brava, Valentine by Adriana Trigiani - a woman in a red coat with dark red lipstick standing on a cobblestone road.

Brava Valentine is $1.99, and is Book 2 in Trigiani's Valentine series.

As Brava, Valentine begins, snow falls like glitter over Tuscany at the wedding of her grandmother, Teodora, and longtime love, Dominic. Valentine's dreams are dashed when Gram announces that Alfred, “the prince,” Valentine's only brother and nemesis, has been named her partner at Angelini Shoes. Devastated, Valentine falls into the arms of Gianluca, a sexy Tuscan tanner who made his romantic intentions known on the Isle of Capri. Despite their passion for one another and Gianluca's heartfelt letters, a long-distance relationship seems impossible.

As Valentine turns away from romance and devotes herself to her work, mentor and pattern cutter June Lawton guides her through her power struggle with Alfred, while best friend and confidante Gabriel Biondi moves into 166 Perry Street, transforming her home and point of view. Savvy financier Bret Fitzpatrick, Valentine's first love and former fiancÉe who still carries a torch for her, encourages Valentine to exploit her full potential as a designer and a business woman with a plan that will bring her singular creations to the world. A once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity takes Valentine from the winding streets of Greenwich Village to the sun-kissed cobblestones of Buenos Aires, where she finds a long-buried secret hidden deep within a family scandal. Once unearthed, the truth rocks the Roncallis and Valentine is determined to hold her family together. More so, she longs to create one of her own, but is torn between a past love that nurtured her, and a new one that promises to sustain her.

It looks like books under the Carina imprint are excluded – I was hoping for Shannon Stacey’s latest, but they’re not listed.  Not sure if other HQ imprints are also excluded.

    Sarah M. Anderson says:

May I suggest A Man of Privilege and A Man of Distinction, the next two Lawyers in Love books? More modern-day Cowboys-and-Indians! Meanwhile, I’m going to snag all the Maisey Yates I’ve missed so far.

    In my cart right now:
Stranded With Her Ex by Jill Sorenson
More Than One Night by Sarah Mayberry
    Suddenly You by Sarah Mayberry
    Unveiled by Courtney Milan
What the Librarian Did by Karina Bliss
Justice at Cardwell Ranch by B.J. Daniels

And that’s out of the 22 in my wishlist. I still need to cull when I only want to add more.

Aww darn. I buy Harlequin print books all the time, but in e-book form, I’m still a Carina-only girl. A 50% off code for Carina would be awesome.

I am not buying anymore e-books this month. I went a bit… wild with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.  That, in combination with the 300 unread e-books in my Calibre library, made me turn of the CC card.  And I’ll not turn it on until January 15th. 2014.  Except for my autobuys… ( And, I can get several of those as ARCs through Netgalley)

If you’re looking for an interracial romance starring a Chinese-American heroine, my latest release, BACK TO THE GOOD FORTUNE DINER, is now available from Harlequin Superromance. You can also get my first book starring an MMA fighter, HER SON’S HERO.

If you want something spicier, though, I’d recommend Tiffany Reisz’s THE SIREN, THE ANGEL and her latest, THE PRINCE.

    Diana Neal says:

I know, right?  I would buy more from Harlequin if they were DRM like Carina titles.  Which is sad because this is a totally awesome deal.

Since I was raving about it in an earlier thread I am going to get The Christmas Visit which includes one of my favorite novellas by Margaret Moore.(I no longer have a print copy)  I think I might get a few of the Elizabeth Bevarly Desire titles in the treasury.

Vicki, I think I will get your newest SR title, it sounds good and I love SR!

Also, don’t forget they are having a daily deal until the 25th and I bet a Carina code will pop up at some point. I have to make sure not to overindulge today because I know there is more to come!

Oh, I’m a big fan of Leslie Kelly’s Blazes as well so I picked up three books, made it out under $6! Also feeling very smart because I got them converted to my Kindle without having to look up the steps how this time. Thanks for the coupon SBTB!

Between here and DA my wallet is being nibbled to death by ducks.

Hi Sarah, thanks for letting us pimp our own releases!

May I recommend SEDUCTION UNDER FIRE, my “enemies to lovers” Harlequin Romantic Suspense? For $2.00 you can read about a Park Ranger Hero and down-on-her-luck cop heroine who does her fair share of the saving and butt kicking against their common enemies.

Also, the book was featured yesterday on a cracked.com list, which is kinda cool:

Oh dear, I almost wish I hadn’t known about this sale. I bought a whole slew of Jill Shalvis’s back titles that I’ve been wanting. I also LOVE me a good Intrigue so I bought a few random ones that looked fun, and I bought one of Victoria Dahl’s books for rereading that I loved but had borrowed from the library originally.

Just saw this today, but I snagged I’m Not Her, as well as Holly Lane, The First Love Cookie Club and Waking Up Married (I have it from NetGalley but now I get to keep it!).

Also, Tawna Fenske’s Believe It Or Not is now available for 99 cents (definitely on Amazon and I think elsewhere as well). I’d take advantage of this but I already own it!

In other news, I REALLY need to stop buying ebooks! I have more than I’ll ever read!
