Cyber Monday!

Ah, “Cyber Monday,” where I'm baffled by the omnipresence of the word “cyber,” and there are things on sale. Let's have a look, shall we?

Kindle Fire: On sale, and still rather inaccessible for Blind People. Stay classy Amazon!First: today, the Kindle Fire is $129, or $30 off, when you code “FIREDEAL” at checkout.

Limit one per customer. The deal is good for today only.

Season for Surrender, our book club pick, is $1.99 Second, this probably has nothing to do with Cyber Monday, I don't think, but Kensington has dropped the price on Theresa Romain's Season for Surrender, which you may remember is this month's book club pick. It's $1.99!

You can get a copy at Goodreads | Amazon | BN | Sony | Kobo | iBooks.

I have no idea how long the sale is good for, but if you're curious, that's a lovely price. I hope you enjoy it, and can read it in time for the chat Tuesday night.

Heck, even if you haven't finished it, join us. There's someone still reading the book in just about every chat, and we can be circumspect about spoilers.

Speaking of the book club, AllRomance has a Cyber Monday rebate sale of 50% off eligible titles. This means that if you buy the book, you get 50% of the purchase price back in eBookBucks,  AllRomance's in-store currency.

I just spent a bittersweet hour last night using up the last of my Fictionwise micropay before they close for business. I tend to think of in-store rebate currency as a secret stash of funds I keep forgetting about – then I go to buy a book and I'm all, “OH! I have credit! BUY BUY BUY.”

Sorcery & Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot

Open Road Publishing is hosting a sale that's a lovely high number: 80% off Every Thing. Every Dang Thing, Every Dang Where.

That means 80% off Andrea Kane historical romance novels, which are now $1.99 today only. One of the things about the Kane digital re-releases that Mad and other readers were sad about was the price per book. At $1.99, you can grab a few.

You can see the complete list of Andrea Kane novels on sale at Amazon | BN | Sony | Kobo | iBooks.

All of Patricia Gaffney's Open Road books are $1.99 as well, and you can see the full list of romances at the Open Road site.

Their sale prices are available at all online retailers, and isn't just for romance. They also have cooking, nonfiction, mysteries, thrillers, science fiction, fantasy, biography and literary fiction as well.

Sorcery and Cecilia, or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot, which came happily recommended by many readers, is also $1.99, along with both sequels! You can grab a copy of that at Goodreads | Amazon | BN | Sony | Kobo | iBooks (which I just totally did).

Kobo has a CyberMonday sale of 80% off selected titles, and 30-50% off others.

Use discount code 80CYBER, 50Cyber, or 30Cyber at checkout. Much of the Kobo sale books at 80% off are the Open Road titles.

Buy a Nook at BN.com using your MasterCard and get a $20 gift card.

BN also has a deal for leather-bound classic books, such all the Jane Austen novels in one volume: if you buy one, you can get a second for $10.

I could keep doing this all day. Find any deals you've been excited about? Please do share!

Hey, I wrote the Introduction that’s in that fabulous edition of Jane Austen’s complete novels. So you get a bonus you can totally skip over without guilt—I give you a free pass. 🙂 But you also get to say you know the person who wrote the Introduction!

I was going to mention that! I was happy to have checked the site early enough to catch the early bird deal of 50% off.

So far, I’ve spent a good chunk of my money over at Samhain and ARe. I love ARe’s 50% rebate sales – prices I’d normally refuse to pay suddenly turn into “okay, fine!” I bought all of Jane Fletcher’s works, based on my enjoyment of one of her Celaeno books. I’d been putting off getting them for ages, because $9.99 a pop is just painful without some kind of sale.

  5. Thanks for all the links to deals!

*emerges from AllRomance an hour later* Sorry, did you say something?

  7. I just picked up the top 3 Andrea Kane books I had my eye on. Thanks for the new author.

A bunch of Dorothy Sayers Lord Peter Wimsey books are part of the Amazon sale in Mysteries and Thrillers.

The Open Road Media sale is pretty awesome.  There’s a bundle of 3 of James Herriot’s memoirs (starting with All Creatures Great and Small, which has a lovely, understated romance in it) for $6 – and it’s discounted more at Amazon.  Also Barbara Hambly’s books – most of her early SF/F have romances in them, besides being awesome.

I’m looking forward to buying a big chunk of my ARe wishlist.  Think someone at this site gave me the idea of keeping a wishlist and waiting for sales, so thank you bitchery.

Just went beserk shopping the Andrea Kane historicals. Ho!ho!ho!  Now I need to shop for others before I disappear down an ARe rabbithole…..
