Friday Videos Are Laughing So Hard

StarOpal sent me this link, and I laughed so hard I had to take off my glasses and wipe tears off my face. Oh, my Lord, was this funny.

Link!

This awesomesauce was brought to you by Steve Kardynal and the magic of Chat Roulette.

I do wonder why so many of the people doing Chat Roulette appear to be topless and in bed, but hey, perhaps they are in a room that is too warm. RIGHT?

Don't disillusion me, over here.

I hope your weekend makes you want to dance. Wearing fringe. And barring that, I hope your weekend makes you laugh so hard you have to wipe your eyes.

  1. Rachel Aaron says:

This might be my new favorite thing ever. Also, does no one wear a shirt on Chat Roulette?

  2. Angela James says:

“I do wonder why so many of the people doing Chat Roulette appear to be topless and in bed, but hey, perhaps they are in a room that is too warm. RIGHT?”

I watched this twice and both times I wondered the SAME THING.

Steve seems like the kind of guy it would be a riot to be friends with.

  3. azteclady says:

*gasping for breath and with tears in my eyes*

Thank you, just what I needed before work.

    Oh lord.

  4. Carrie says:

I wondering why so many guys know all the words to “Call Me Maybe.”

  5. Carrie says:

This one is great, too—it’s Marines in Afghanistan who put the video together in 30 minutes. Scroll down a bit for the video.

  6. The guy in the velour bathrobe… Am I laughing or crying? I’m laughing, right?

  7. Laurie says:

I love the guy that shakes his head noooo when ‘the call me maybe’ line is sung. That was awesome.

  8. Tina says:

BEST! VIDEO! EVER!  As I told my daughter…“See, EVERYONE knows the words to this song!”  Thanks so much for the laugh and I have, of course, now shared it with everyone I know.

  9. I just love all the people jumping in to sing along and dance – thanks for sharing!

  10. K Angel2 says:

I had to watch it twice!

  11. Silver James says:

I had to watch it twice! Once to follow Steve’s half, the other to catch the responses from Chat Roulette. OMGWTFBBQ! I. Loved. This. Video. Made me laugh like damn and whoah. You made my whole day, SB Sarah! And FYI? I want to adopt Steve. Just sayin’…

  12. PamG says:

I had to pass this on because I really loved the responses even more than Steve’s routine.  What could be more engaging than strangers startled into sudden laughter.  Thanks for sharing.

  13. Ilana says:

I love that moment when they go from horrified to amused.  There’s a number of guys who you think “yep, you’re going to be a dick about this”, then they break into a huge grin.

  14. Tamara Hogan says:

I think we just saw a young man lose his innocence (1:58).

  15. Danielle TBQ says:

LOL—-I think I saw about a dozen guys go from thinking they were going to have a..ahem, happy evening with the chat, and then they saw Steve instead. 😀 Thanks for sharing, it definitely brought a few tears to my eyes from laughing. And perhaps from my eyes just burning from the images. Yeah, that’s more likely. 😀

    Enjoy!

What fun.  I love the facial expressions.  And I can’t help wondering about the responses that didn’t make it into the video.

I always think of SBTB when I hear Call Me Maybe, since another Friday Video introduced me to this song with a link to her awesome, romance inspired video.

  17. OmahaUrbanec says:

I loved watching for eyes to widen in surprise and then laughing and enjoying it.

  18. CutMyTeethOnKleypas says:

This made my day. 😀 Can’t. Stop. Laughing.

  19. Loni says:

This video was just the best thing to see on my birthday, thank you, I shall now share it with my friends.

  20. MarieC says:

I loved watching all the reactions!

On a side note, whose clothes were those?

  21. Bwah hah hah! Oh my frickin’ god, that was hilarious! Best thing ever. Still wiping the tears of laughter away. Thank you!

  22. Happy Birthday, BTW 🙂

  23. DreadPirateRachel says:

Holy shit, that’s amazing! I laughed so hard that my neighbors came and beat on the door to make me shut up. God, Sarah, why are you trying to sabotage my friendly neighborhood relations? 😀

Excuse me while I go repost this to Facebook.

  24. Something tells me those guys in bed aren’t just shirtless. I wonder how many responses didn’t make it into the video because they were too gross and/or frightening. It was actually rather reassuring to see that there were that many people on Chat Roulette who were fully clothed, sitting at their computers or with other people. And now I find myself wanting to think of fun pranks that could be pulled on Chat Roulette to mess with those people who are waiting naked in bed. Maybe a stern-looking nun in a habit, chastising them. Not that I’d have the nerve to do them because that would mean having to see and deal with those people.

  25. I’ve watched this video a number of times, first because it was funny, and then because it was joyful, and then because I decided it was profound. All the people in that video look young, maybe high school or college age, so they’re the generation coming up behind mine. I know from the polls that their generation is less homophobic than mine (which is in turn less homophobic than my parents’ generation), but this video allowed me to actually see that. A few guys reacted with shock or horror. But so many of them smiled or laughed or even started singing and dancing along! How awesome is that?? And every single woman in the video was fabulous.

Incidentally, the Daily Show did a segment on chatroulette a couple of years ago, but I’m afraid it will disillusion you. It’s also very much NOT SAFE FOR WORK. Link:

  26. Sophia (FV) says:

Oh thank you. I really needed this laugh. Right.Now. 🙂

  27. I thought the same thing as you, Amy – “look at all these fun, cute people who are not crazy homophobic jerks” … they just appreciated a guy having a joke. Even the guy who so clearly said “what the F—” seemed to get the joke rather than get offended/offensive.

But yeah, the shirtless in bed thing…. I’m going to make a wild n crazy guess about what they were thinking they would get up to.

Really, both things are a perfect antidote to listening to yet another NPR story about a certain Missouri Senate candidate.
