Sizzling Book Club Pick for July: Storm by Brigid Kemmerer

Storm - Brigid Kemmerer Smart Bitch Sarah's Sizzling Book ClubTime to announce the July Sizzling Book Club selection!

This month's pick is Storm by Brigid Kemmerer.

This is the first book in a YA series with some paranormal elements, or mostly just elements (hence the series name, “The Elementals”). Here's the description:

Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys– the ones she doesn't want. Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water–just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They're powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life's at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who's hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The rebate is on now, so if you buy at ARe, you'll get 50% back in eBook Bucks. The after-rebate price is $4.50.

Plus, if you have coupons, load 'em up, because Kensington is totally down with that. The 50% rebate at AllRomance will be valid from 6-20 July 2012 if you use code SBTBARE at checkout.

This book is also available as a print book, and you can find it in many places including Goodreads | Amazon | BN.

And the book club chat is set! On Monday July 30 at 9:00 pm ET, we'll be discussing the book, and Brigid Kemmerer will join us for a Q&A at 10pm, with possible giveaways and mayhem as well.

Would you like a button to add this to your calendar? Here! You can has!

I really enjoyed the action and the characters in this book – the heroine, Becca, is memorable, and terribly realistic as a teenager facing some crazy stuff in her life. I hope you will read the book and join us for the chat!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have not stopped bouncing in my chair since you emailed me. :-D My month = made.

Maybe by coincidence (?) B&N has the paperback at 40% off starting today, so it’s available for $5.97. Just wanted to throw that out there, too. :-D

I know it’s a slow response, but EEEEEEEEEEE! I know YA cops a lot of flack for being trite and angsty, but Storm is GOOD. And YES to Becca being a memorable and realistic heroine—and I LOVED the boys, too, for the same reasons :)
