The Tracy Deebs Writes A Lot of Books Giveaway

Book Cover Last year, Tracy Deebs' Tempest Rising came out, and I liked it quite a bit -but it had a cliffhanger. OH NOES. So when she approached me about doing a giveaway, I was totally down with that, except for that hangy-cliff part. So I asked if we could wait until the sequel came out – and now that the sequel is out, it is big ol' bundle of book giveaway time up in here.

While folks like us read piles of book all year long, there's something to be said for the temptation of “summer reading.” I don't necessarily read more in the summer, but I do find myself with more time sitting outside, which is one of my favorite places to read. Since Tracy Deebs (who also writes as Tracy Wolff and Ivy Adams) writes a TON of different books, she's offered up three sets of books for giving away, so if you've got a patio chair and some time, there's plenty to choose from. For reals.

Plus, each of the three prize packs will include one of the following:

The newest book is the sequel to Tempest Rising, which is Tempest Unleashed. If you're curious about the series, Tempest is half-mermaid, and in the sequel, she has to choose between the sea, which is powerfully tempting to her, and land, where she was raised. She also has to figure out how to choose between her high school boyfriend, Mark, and Kona, a selkie prince. You know, like you do.

Standard disclaimers apply: Do not try this at home. Wear sunscreen. I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. I defy anyone to say “insertion fee” with a straight face, because my inner 10 year old cannot do it. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents. Must be 18 years of age or over and wearing chaps to win. All items come from a poke free home.

The comments will be open until 9:00 pm ET Thursday, 14 June 2012. To enter to win, please leave a comment and tell me which book you'd read first, or where you'd read it. Your choice! I'll select three winners at random, and there will be much reading for the winners. Good luck!

I would read Tempest Rising in my hammock in my backyard.

  2. Lms Dragonmist says:

I have a screened in porch that I love … my cat is on my lap and the dog is beside me on the glider bench thing.  What more can a woman ask for?  oh right a pile of great books!

  3. Hai-yen Huynh says:

I would start with Tempest Rising, sitting under a tree in the shades at a park. Wow! The prizes are awesome! Thanks for the giveaway.

  4. RubyAlison says:

This is the first summer of my life where I have my own patio to read on (having bought our first home/condo after 15 years of apartment living).  I am SO excited for summer reading & have been setting aside a little collection of books just for that.  I would love to add some of these to it!  They all look good.  I might read The International Kissing Club first.

  5. emptycalories says:

OK, I don’t want to be a stalker but I’m pretty sure I met Tracy at the RT Convention in Chicago a few months ago.  She had amazing hair and she was so incredibly supportive and encouraging to an aspiring writer like me (as was her conference partner, Emily McKay).  I asked her like a million questions about writing for Harlequin.  She was very generous.  We were in the bar.

Anyway!  I would read From the Beginning first because…well, because of the title.  I’m corny like that.  Also because I like category romances in theory, but it has to be like an extra-special-great-characters-snappy-writing category romance, and I feel like anyone with amazing hair like Tracy Wolff’s would write one of those.

  6. Geitje says:

Tempest Rising, because selkies remind me of being a kid. Not that romance novels remind me of being a kid, but… eh?

  7. Cindy A. says:

When I am enjoying one of my 102 personal days (aka Saturday & Sunday) in the summer, I just love early morning coffee & my Kindle on the patio before chores need to be done. Take me away fiction is the best, and in this case I would enjoy “Hidden Embers”.

  8. orchid7 says:

I would grab Tempest Rising to read first- I want to see what happens next!
I believe I’d be reading it indoors, because it’s already almost 100 degrees here! 🙂

  9. Pams00 says:

I’d like to win any of the 3 sets! Full Exposure might be my first read. As to where, hopefully by a pool somewhere.

  10. Kate Laws says:

Half-mermaid?  Selkie prince??  Hmmmm… sounds good.

  11. Emily says:

Probably I’d read Tempest Rising first, because it nostalgically reminds me of the Little Mermaid, and because I know I could then immediately read the sequel and not have to wait. And I’d be reading on the train to work, pretending I was on a beach.

  12. Karen Wapinski says:

I’d start with From the Beginning, it looks very intriuging ^_^
I like to sit outside with my red wine on the love seat outside in summer. So nice.

  13. Deb@Debbie's Book Bag! says:

I would definitely read Tempest Rising first. I’ve had that one on my wish list for awhile.

  14. Kate D. says:

I’d read Tempest Rising first while lounging on the back patio.

  15. TamaraM says:

Okay, I gotta admit, I’m one of those who wants to eat dessert first…definitely gotta go with one of the Tracy Wolff books!  Kicking back on the back patio soaking up some sun and reading one of those hawt books:)

  16. Devonannmcardle says:

I would read International Kissing Club first – looks like a great YA read.  I would have to read it in my old bedroom while I’m house-sitting for my parents!

  17. Nausikaa says:

I’m not in the mood for YA right know, so I’d go for Hidden Embers. That cover does look good.
Oh, and I’d read it in bed, as there’s my favourite reading spot.

  18. KellyR says:

Definitely Tempest Rising! and I would read it in bed where I do most of my reading!

  19. Zohar says:

I’d read Tempest Rising on my super comfy beach chair in my shaded balcony! (and also probably in bed where I do most of my reading…)

  20. Karen H near Tampa says:

I would read “Hidden Embers” first.  That cover is so hot and I’m curious about what happens with him.  Plus the eye candy just grabs my total attention!  It’s hot here in Florida so I’d be inside with the air conditioning with my feet up in my recliner.

  21. Amy P. says:

I would read at the kids summer lacrosse, swim, soccer and wrestling tournaments!  It seems this summer EVERY weekend is taken with sports!  Not quite the beach . . . but better than cleaning a bathroom!

I would read “Tie Me Down” first, the cover looks HOT!!

  22. emily says:

I would read it outside in the sun, because I love summer weather.

  23. I love mermaid romance! I would totally read Tempest Rising.
