The Tracy Deebs Writes A Lot of Books Giveaway

Book Cover Last year, Tracy Deebs' Tempest Rising came out, and I liked it quite a bit -but it had a cliffhanger. OH NOES. So when she approached me about doing a giveaway, I was totally down with that, except for that hangy-cliff part. So I asked if we could wait until the sequel came out – and now that the sequel is out, it is big ol' bundle of book giveaway time up in here.

While folks like us read piles of book all year long, there's something to be said for the temptation of “summer reading.” I don't necessarily read more in the summer, but I do find myself with more time sitting outside, which is one of my favorite places to read. Since Tracy Deebs (who also writes as Tracy Wolff and Ivy Adams) writes a TON of different books, she's offered up three sets of books for giving away, so if you've got a patio chair and some time, there's plenty to choose from. For reals.

Plus, each of the three prize packs will include one of the following:

The newest book is the sequel to Tempest Rising, which is Tempest Unleashed. If you're curious about the series, Tempest is half-mermaid, and in the sequel, she has to choose between the sea, which is powerfully tempting to her, and land, where she was raised. She also has to figure out how to choose between her high school boyfriend, Mark, and Kona, a selkie prince. You know, like you do.

Standard disclaimers apply: Do not try this at home. Wear sunscreen. I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. I defy anyone to say “insertion fee” with a straight face, because my inner 10 year old cannot do it. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents. Must be 18 years of age or over and wearing chaps to win. All items come from a poke free home.

The comments will be open until 9:00 pm ET Thursday, 14 June 2012. To enter to win, please leave a comment and tell me which book you'd read first, or where you'd read it. Your choice! I'll select three winners at random, and there will be much reading for the winners. Good luck!

I’d start with Hidden Embers, mostly because of the dude with the dragon tattoo on his back, and that is (it’s getting even worse) because I’ve been playing a RPG-sorceress that is part dragon – don’t judge >.<
Preferably, I’d read the books on the beach, but probably I’d be reading them on the bus, because that’s where I seem to be spending a lot of my time lately.

  2. Evamaria N says:

I seem to remember reading an excerpt of Tempest Rising in the back of a book somewhere and thinking it sounded fun.

  3. GHN says:

I would definitely want to start with the mermaid books. As for where – some nice, quiet place with grass and trees and flowers, like the Botanical Gardens (my favorite park). Exactly where is negotiable as long as it is quiet and GREEN

  4. Arienette says:

I’d read Tempest first! And on the plane – got a big overseas trip coming up that I’ll need lots of reading material for 🙂

  5. HP says:

Tempest Rising.  I’d read on my back porch, relaxing with a glass of something fruity!

  6. megan says:

I would read it sitting by a lake near my home 🙂

  7. Katherine Sandiego says:

I’m still crazy about paranormal, but sick to death of vampires… Tempest Rising sounds like it would be a nice change of pace!

  8. Jemma says:

Tempest unleashed only cause I like the cover. And I would read it at the cottage on the dock at 7 am in a big deck chair with a coffee, old blanket, gently lapping water and birds singing. Ahhhh vacation. Bring it on.

  9. NicAwesomeOle says:

Unguarded…Because I want to learn how to be kissed in that exact position on the cover.

  10. Katherine O'Grady says:

I would start with Unguarded, which totally hits my sweet spots for a comfort read. Is there any way I could have that one soon? Like today? (As my credit card starts weeping from all my recent book buying.)

  11. brit says:

Tempest Rising first, since mermaid is new to me. Maybe reading in the bathtub since it is the closest I can get to a body of water in the desert.

  12. Alexandra says:

Tempest Rising because there aren’t enough good mermaid books out there. Selina Penaluna is a good one. As for where – in the sun when in decides to show it’s face again. But only AFTER my exams are finished – which is Friday, so woop!

  13. JimLynch says:

I’d read TIE ME DOWN because I’m a fan of erotica and BDSM, and I could use something to wash the horrible writing of 50 SHADES OF GREY from my mind.

  14. Fran says:

Great giveaway, thanks! I would read Hidden Embers on my back porch 🙂

  15. Gail says:

We have a great swing in the backyard that is perfect for reading. I would probably start with Tempest Rising.

  16. Peggy O'Kane says:

I’d like to say I’d read Hidden Embers while curled against the cover model’s lovely skin but I don’t think that will be happening any time soon. sigh

  17. Amitatuq says:

Those all look intriguing! But mermaids first. 🙂

  18. Devynne C says:

    Tempest Rising in the sun!

  19. Ren Puspita says:

I want to read her books that write under name “Tessa Adam”, Hidden Embers. Can’t say no to dragons!

    Ren

  20. Ginny Youngblood says:

Hidden Embers on my balcony. This is an awesome giveaway by the way!

  21. Nicole K. says:

I so want to read the Tempest series, so I’d definitely go with Tempest Rising first. Thanks for bringing these books to my attention! 🙂

  22. Stephanie B says:

I would probably read Tempest Rising first – and it would either be on my deck or in the recliner at night after my toddler goes to bed.

  23. A. Wang says:

Thank gosh the sequel’s out. I can’t stand cliffhangers. I’d read Tempest Rising on the plane ride to Puerto Vallarta and finish off the sequel on the beach with a daquiri.

  24. Ladyxbec says:

Tempest Rising! Because I love mermaids.  Then I would read the sequel right after 🙂

  25. Croceon says:

WHAT! Why didn’t I see that line note about the giveaway being open to internationals before? I missed sooo many opportunities…
    Well, it’s never too late.
I’d start with Tempest Rising, cause I totally love the cover. Stupid reason, but that’s me. And since that’s where I spend most of my time nowadays, I’d probably read it on the train or watching the pupils I tutor, cause while they work, I’m usually bored to tears.

Okay, I think the cover of Tie me down looks even more interesenting. Mmh. That one I definitely not read in the same room with those curious teenagers^^

  26. Mandee Wyrick says:

What an awesome giveaway!! I would like Tempest Rising. I keep seeing this book at work and I want to read it SO bad, but it keeps getting pushed back down the pile. Thanks for the opportunity!!

  27. Alaina Parton says:

There is a porch swing in my backyard in the shade of a magnolia tree. I would read there!

  28. Ekaf1011 says:

Tempest Rising in Wisconsin, where I’m going on vacation in a few weeks 🙂

  29. Megan says:

I would have to say that I would read Tempest Rising, while I’m having to babysit my two little nephews.

  30. Colahbee says:

I’d start with Hidden Embers and read it on my back patio with a glass of wine.

  31. Bridget Horn says:

I would start right at the beginning with Tempest Rising. And would be reading… at the pool, in the hot tub, in the bathtub… where ever I can get some ‘me’ time. 🙂

  32. Katrina says:

I’d read them ALL sitting in the cafe where I work, after my shift is over.

  33. Brunette Librarian says:

I’d like to read Tempest Rising or Tie Me Down first. 🙂 I’d probably sneak time to read them on breaks at work – and if not then it’d be an EXCELLENT weekend read. 🙂

Wow! Thank you for such an amazing giveaway! I would read Tempest Rising first. I have wanted that one since it was released!  Yay for summer reading! wendynjason04 at gmail dot com

  35. Honig2sassi says:

Tempest Rising in an airconditioned room, in a comfy chair by the window because sitting outside in Hong Kong at this time of year is most uncomfortable

  36. Katie Ann says:

I’m definitely drawn towards the ones written as Tracy Wolff, such pretty manflesh.  I have two beach vacations coming up in the next year, I could see this pile of books coming in handy for both, and the plane rides.

  37. Nichole Fife says:

Tempest rising would be my book of choice simply because of the tattoo portrayed on the cover. My current one being inspired by Jaqueline Carey’s Phedre’s rose. Consequently, I just finished up a huge exam for entrance into graduate school and as I wait, twiddling my thumbs for my results, opening up a new and juicy romance novel would be the preferred way to spend my outdoors time – between the monsoon rains here in Japan anyway! Your contest could not have come at a better time!

  38. infinitieh says:

I can’t wait to read by the pool!  Getting my daily dose of vitamin D is more fun with a book to distract me.

  39. I’d toss all the books to the air and whichever hit my head, I’d read first.

Also, I’d read it while sitting on my fur rug. Because that’s how I read romance.

  40. Mary Preston says:

I think I would start with TEMPEST RISING. I have a big, old comfy couch that is my favorite reading spot. A very generous giveaway thank you.
