  1. Taylor Reynolds says:

Yesterday I read Julia London’s “The Seduction of Lady X” and adored it. If I decide to be completely lazy again today and avoid all chores, I have Mary Balogh’s “The Proposal” patiently waiting.

  2. JanLo says:

I’m reading On the Edge by Ilona Andrews. Love the Kate Daniels books, so thought I’d like the Edge books too. So far, it’s great.

  3. PamG says:

Just finished Big Jack as a quick entr’acte between volumes of Julia Spencer-Fleming’s Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne mysteries.  I’m currently reading the third, Out of the Depths I Cry.  This series is so beautifully written and succeeds as mystery, thriller and romance.  Unbelievable how much heat can be generated with barely a kiss and how invested the reader becomes in these characters eventually finding their hard-earned HEA.

  4. Sarina says:

After returning to my local community college to take a couple of summer math courses, I visited their “Take a Book, Leave a Book” rack in the lounge only to find it FULL of romance novels! Right now I’m reading my first pick, Brenda Novak’s “The Perfect Murder” of The Last Stand series! I’m only on page 15 and already brimming with excitement at how good it is!

  5. Liz says:

@PamG- I love Julia Spencer-Fleming. Be prepared for a serious emotional rollercoaster.

I’ve just finished Nalini Singh’s Tangle of Need, and am craving another shifter PNR/UF series. Any recommendations?

  6. Carolyn says:

Eileen Wilks’ ‘World of the Lupi’ series is great, with a new take on the mating bond which made sense to me. The first book is ‘Tempting Danger’.

There’s also Thea Harrison and her Elder Race series. First book is ‘Dragon Bound’.

    Hope this helps.  🙂

  7. Nadia says:

In the middle of “How the Marquess Was Won.”  Not sure how I feel about the hero, he better get more heroic.

  8. Manda61882 says:

Reading a Jennifer Crusie bundle, now I am reading the new Laurell K Hamilton book Hit List also just bought a Joanne Flume book Devil food cake murder.

  9. rooruu says:

Glomming Kristan Higgins books.  Read one awhile back based on a SBTB recommendation, and came across a secondhand one in an op shop last week..can’t get many on Kindle, being in Australia ($&@?) but yay for Better World Books for their range and free shipping.

Loved the Julia Spencer-Fleming series.  But it’s another where I had to buy most in print, Kindle eds again not for Oz.  I’ve recommended that series a lot.  And first knew of it through SBTB.

TBR pile also includes Rivers of London (cover recommendation by Diana Gabaldon, it’s a mix of magic & police procedural) and I’ve been enjoying Just My Type, aN entreatingly informative book about the history of printing & font design.

  10. rooruu says:

That would be an entertainingly informative book, not entreatingly.

  11. I really enjoyed The Governess Affair this weekend. It was a quicky and a cheapy. I think I paid 88 cents with a coupon code. I’m looking forward to more Milan (that was my first!).

  12. Readsalot81 says:

@Liz I really enjoy Jenn Bennett’s Arcadia Bell series. It’s UF with strong romantic elements throughout the book. Kindling the Moon is book # 1.. Summoning the Night book 2.

I like to read several books at a time… So I have the Hostage Bargain by Annika Martin on hand… the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks (well.. WHEN my mom gives it back to me that is) and last but not least, The Bandit King by Lilith Saintcrow. 🙂

  13. Bnbsrose says:

Finished “The Rook” and devoured the first half of “Beguiling the Beauty”. Damn this working for a living thing.
