It’s DABWAHA Time!

The nomination slate is ready and seven out of eight books have been listed at the DABWAHA site. Why is one missing? Because it's time for you to nominate the book you think should be included that isn't listed right now.

Which book were we insane to leave off? Fire up your browser and head on over to fill out the form to enter your nominations.

A few words of caution: please make sure that the book is published in 2011 – but not late December 2011. Anything published the last week of December 2011 is counted as a 2012 book (we had a mighty discussion about it on our last podcast).

Please make sure that the book you're nominating is not a reprint of a previously published book, or the paperback release of a 2010 hardcover.

And finally, please make sure to use the PRINT ISBN number so the results will compile correctly.

Selection Sunday is March 11, and that's when we'll be announcing the full slate of nominees, including the reader nominated selection for each category. Then, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, March 11, 12 and 13, IT IS BRACKET TIME!

You'll be able to start selecting your brackets for the tournament then, and the voting will begin on March 14.

This is a lot of dates to keep track of (even for us!) so we have a calendar created that tells you what's happening when.

You can also view the calendar online.

Everything happens over at DABWAHA.com, including prize announcements, bracket selection, voting  for each round, and prize awarding.

Hey! Where’s… but what about… and you missed… well, I’m shocked, I tell you shocked! Guess I’d better get my votes in.

  2. Malin says:

Should possibly have looked at the already selected books in each category before filling in my form – but at least the books I really love will be competing. 😀

Next time, will read first, vote later.

  3. Ann Stephens says:

I looove DABWAHA! Great source of new books for the mountain called my TBA pile.

  4. Anony Miss says:

    dabwaha.com is down? I can’t get it to load… 🙁

  5. Meka says:

Sarah, thank you so much for being willing to help those of us who are blind and using screen readers out.  It is very much appreciated.  Now, off to nominate someone!  Have a fun time, all, and good luck!

  6. SB Sarah says:

    @Meka:

Of course! I can host a Skype chat and take care of it or call you like I did last year. But if you want to join in, and I can’t make the software accessible through creative cursing, I’ll do what I can to help you out. No worries!

  7. Charon says:

It’s nice to see several f/f romances in the LGBT category. My recollection is there were none last year (although I can’t find the 2013 list anywhere?).
