Signed Books: A Giveaway of Signatures!

Update! We have a winner! Thanks to the random number generator, comment #111 is the winner. And that's Kaetrin! Email me at sarahATsmartbitchestrashybooksDOTcom to claim your books, Kaetrin, and congratulations!

You guys have the makings of one hell of an awesome booksigning if we could get all those authors in one room. Thank you to everyone who entered!

Last weekend I was at a booksigning at Turn the Page Books in Boonsboro, MD, along with Mary Kay McComas, Mary Burton, Donna Kauffman, and Nora Roberts/JD Robb. Each author was kind enough to sign a book for me to give away here, so hooray! Signed books from a collection of subgenres!

Up for grabs, and each of these copies is a signed copy – signed by the author of the book, not by me or some random person, unless Nora Roberts was played by a lookalike:

  1. Lora Patten says:

Stephanie Laurens, Mary Balogh, Iris Johansen, Lisa Kleypas, Charlaine Harris, Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick, Jude Deveraux, Johanna Lindsey, Monica McCarty, Kieran Kramer, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Katherine Ashe, Heather Snow, Elise Rome, Lynsay Sands, Julie Garwood, Karen Marie Moning, John Grisham, James Patterson, Stephen King, and about 1,000 others 🙂  I have too many “favorites” to pick only one.  However, I have read more books by Stephanie Laurens than I have of anyone else I believe (except perhaps Stephen King).  I actually DID get to meet and talk to Stephen King when The Stand was being filmed in Tooele Utah but I didn’t have anything for him to sign as I was on my way to the hospital cafeteria from visiting a friend in the maternity ward (the hospital was used during several scenes in The Stand).  Stephen is very soft spoken and almost quiet to the point of creepiness but he was also very gracious and down to earth.

  2. Samantha Grover says:

I would like to meet Susan Andersen, Jennifer Crusie and Julie Quinn.  The
first two because I like their on-line personas and the third because I love
her books (and think I would have all of hers…if I’m going to get someone to
sign them, it’d be cool to have a whole ‘set’…the others may have had a couple
taken to a ‘bring in 2, take 1 away USB’s).

  3. BookAttict says:

Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb (‘cause I absolutely LOVE Eve & Roarke), Michelle Sagara (he Chronicles of Elantra are absolutely brilliant!), Lee Child (one word—REACHER!!!), and Laura Wright (I’ve read her books and a bunch of her guest posts and think she’d be a BLAST to meet!)

  4. cathy macdonald says:

Definitely Nora, I adore her Eve Dallas stories, and Shelly Laurenston’s humor is a kick, and I would love to meet her too.

  5. Irene Jackson says:

Nora Roberts / JD Robb . I have a bookcase groaning with her books as I won’t part with them. I adore Roarke and Eve from the In Death series.

  6. Lynn Pauley says:

I would say Lois McMaster Bujold but I was able to meet her a few years ago and got 3 of the Vorkosigan books autographed. Ditto with Nora Roberts—meet her at a Library Conference when the In Death series was fairly new. So, I would have to say Maria V. Snyder, Sharon Sala, Candace Camp, Lynn Kurland, Stephanie Laurens, Cherry Adair, Jo Beverley, Mary Jo Putney … and on, and on, and on!!!!!

  7. Pams00 says:

I “love” a lot of authors. One of my newer authors i like is Kristan Higgins. You smile, you cry and never want it to end. Kristan feels like your friend next door. Love her books!

  9. sweetsiouxsie says:

Elizabeth Hoyt is the author I would love to meet. Her Prince series remains my favorite romance trilogy. She answers emails, she has dogs, she gardens and she lives in Illinois.

  10. Winterb63 says:

Would love to meet Jennifer Crusie, Judith Mcnaught, Diana Galbadon, Linda Lael Miller and my fav LaVeryle Spencer and any of the above !! How can I REALLY choose??

  11. Arienette says:

    Nora! Nora! Nora! Nora!
I’m pretty sure I’ve read [and loved] almost everything she’s ever written. And from interviews etc I’ve seen, she seems to be pretty badass lady as well. I think she’d be an awesome person to meet and have a couple of wines with 🙂

  12. EmilyAnn says:

I’d love to meet J.R. Ward or Lauren Dane, and I’m excited because Megan Hart is doing a book signing in my area in a month so I can cross her off the list. I was lucky enough to meet Charlaine Harris a couple years ago (she did a book-signing at the Borders across the street from my house). I’d love to meet Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, Suzanne Brockmann, Maya Banks, Stephanie Meyer and so many more!

  13. Vicki says:

I’d like to meet Nora Roberts, Laurie King and Andrew Vacchs (I know, he’s not romance but his stuff is kind of romantic in the English major sense of the word).

  14. Ellen Solensky says:

Nora Roberts because her stories and characters are authentic.I think she would be avery interesting and good person to talk with.

  15. sarrible says:

Joanna Bourne, although I don’t know if I’d be able to say anything. I’d probably just gibber nonsense about how much I effing LOVE her books.

  16. Lynn says:

wow—I love books it doesn’t matter whose!

  17. Czangardi says:

I”d love to meet Eloisa James.  I think her books are smart and funny.  I love her columns on Romance as a genre for Barnes and Noble too.
