1. Joykins says:

Thanks for reminding me—I’d selected that special offer and forgotten that gmail thoughtfully randomly inserts things from Amazon into my spam folder. I’ve now redeemed it for a bundle—3 books for $1, not bad! And I get to try Linda Lael Miller’s McKettrick books, which I’ve been meaning to read.

  2. Karenmc says:

I picked up about a dozen books over the last week or so. I may have to divert dog treat funds to keep up with this strange compulsion to hit the Buy Now button.

  3. Sarah Morgan says:

Had no idea you’d even heard of the Vicar of Dibley in the US! My all time favourite episode is The Handsome Stranger with Richard Armitage. Brilliant!

  4. SB Sarah says:

It used to be on BBC America years ago (pre-2004), but I haven’t been able to find it on current listings. I LOVE IT. Dawn French is completely excellent – and yes, that was hands down the best episode ever.

This scene never fails to crack me up:

  5. Mikaela Lind says:

Booksonboard have a 25% discount on Harlequin and Carina Press titles. The Code is BoxOChocs. ( Worked on books out side the list)

  6. Lisa Pegg says:

The Courtney Milan book “Unlocked” is .99 on the nook right now. Not free, but pretty good anyway. I’m buying it!

  7. Kate Frowzy says:

From Rachel Gibson’ Facebook page this morning:

    Epub-palozza!!

My older books are finally available for pre-order. Yeah!!! Simply Irresistible, See Jane Score, Daisy’s Back In Town, The Trouble With Valentine’s Day, It Must Be Love, and Truly Madly Yours, are being offered for a limited time at $3.99. I don’t know how long this sale will last, but I’m told the deal will be consumer driven. Meaning the more people who download the books at $3.99, the longer the sale will last. So, hopefully it will last for years and years. 🙂

  8. LizzieBee says:

I wish more of these were available in Australia. I got all excited by the Virgin River set, but alas.

    Stupid PUBLISHERS.

  9. Briar says:

With you, Lizzie. I gather the subscription to Special Offers is US only?

  10. Arcadian says:

Hey, anyone want to help me out? I’ve got a Kindle with special offers and I’d love to grab one of these romances for only a buck. But I’m sort of a dabbler in the romance genre, and I haven’t read anything by any of the authors being offered. I’d like to pick wisely, and, well, I get most of my recs here anyway!

I’ve enjoyed books by Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, and Jennifer Crusie, and I love genre crossovers like Julia Spencer-Fleming, Lois McMaster Bujold, and Zoe Archer. Which of those 100 should I grab?

  11. Kate Frowzy says:

Arcadian…I would suggest Mallery’s Only Yours or Dahl’s Good Girls Don’t. Both very sweet funny contemporaries. Lord and Lady Spy is good, too.

  12. Karina says:

I want the complete Vicar of Dibley’s dvd set! Is in my wish list at Amazon, where it costs almost $30 less. Just sayin’.

  13. Susan says:

Re Vicar of Dibley—also love it. Our 3 local PBS stations regularly run many of the Brit Coms, and one runs Vicar. But right now, I can’t get enough of Doc Martin.

  14. brandy says:

Thanks for the links! I follow several ebook discount sites, but hadn’t seen some of these. <3

We are huge Vicar fans in my house! Netflix had the whole series a few years ago, but it’s not currently available.

There is a hilarious mashup of Jim and Amy Winehouse from a few years back:

  15. brandy says:

I’m back again! I’ve noticed something rather odd. The link SBSarah has posted to view the list of 100 books to choose from for the Special Offer is different than the one I was sent. The selection of titles is quite different.

    Here’s my link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/featu…

I’ve lurked on a discussion at Amazon within the last few days wherein the posters were discussing what they intended to purchase. Several titles mentioned were on my list. I wonder what determines who receives which link.

  16. Heather says:

Interesting. I got the same list you did. There’s a couple on Sarah’s list that I would have chosen over the ones on mine. Oh well. Book for $1 is good.
