Links for Fun

Links of fun and enjoyment for you from the internet!

From P.G. for every romance editor currently working, this is for you. Print this out and frame for bad days, eh?

Oh, Steve, it's probably not meant to be, especially since it looks like you're trying to see down the front of Wonder Woman's top.

From Cleo comes this amazing online project from the AIGA called What the Book. You can read about the project online, and you can participate by answering whether you agree or disagree with seven short statements. Then you're asked to define what a book is.

Since that's a changing question and answer, it took me awhile to come up with an answer, but after I did, my favorite of the ones that I scrolled through was this one:

How do you define what a book is? What's your definition?

  1. Olivia Waite says:

A book is a portable Tardis: it’s bigger on the inside, helps you meet new people, and is not entirely subject to the laws of space and time.

  2. CK says:

Olivia, don’t take this the wrong way, but…I think I love you. 😉

  3. Ducky says:

Books are a way to live many lives – those who don’t read live only one life.

  4. cleo says:

SB Sarah – I’m glad you liked the link!  And you posted it so quickly 🙂

  5. Rdickison says:

    There is always my favorite…

A dirty book is rarely dusty.

  6. Books are how I fly, without having to put my cape on first.

  7. jeay ci says:

Olivia, I love that! This is what I said:

A book is a passport to infinite adventures.

  8. Sel says:

“A book is all the places I can’t see, all the adventures I won’t have, and all the people I’ll never be – but within each cover, I can, I do, and I am.”

Which sounds more negative than I intended, but the truth is, I have one life, and I’ll never get to be and do everything…except through a book.

I’m not sure it posted, though.

  9. Kate4queen says:

    Book=curl up=escape

  10. pur8ple says:

A book is a reusable vacation for your brain. It may not be a *good* vacation, but at least you’re able to get away for awhile.
