Am working on why Feedburner isn't speaking to me, or to iTunes, and assorted other things that involve RSS (which is something I am SO bad at I can't even tell you) so this entry is a bit of a test. Feel free to ignore.
BUT. I do have a question: those of you who comment on a thread, do subsequent comments appear in your email inbox (if you've indicated that you wish to receive notifications in your profile)?

The one time I subscribed to a comment feed the subsequent comments (or at least some of them—I didn’t check) did show up in my e-mail.

I’m a disqus member, so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but I seem to recall I got all comments in the previous thread I posted. I’ll test with this, and confirm if I get replies
Ummm… I don’t think I received comments in my email the last time I commented to a post. But like Jan, I’ll test with this one, too.

And no, no responses in my inbox, although I do check the little box. FYI, I’m using Outlook on a Windows 7 machine.
I do hate disqus and more and more blogs are using it. But we shall prevail!
I signed up to disqus and yes, replies do appear in my inbox (this has worked for me when I’ve commented on a thread and also when I’ve just clicked on the “subscribe by email” link).
However, the new posts are often taking a long time to appear in my Google Reader. This one appeared quite promptly, but one of the ones you posted on Friday only appeared there today.
I asked to receive comments from a post I commented on, and they have been showing up in my inbox.
I commented and checked the box and apparently that signed me up for disqus? Regardless, I am receiving the comments to this thread in my email, so all is well there.

I think I said in my profile that I wanted comments emailed to me, but at least in the cliche thread yesterday, I had to click on the link for emails to be sent to me.

I usually get a notification in my email that there has been a comment. Goodreedas sends you a copy of everything you ever commented on and it is sometimes hundreds of folders long. Sometimes it is just the last comment you made. If you ask for feedback, wordpress makes you resubscribe every time. And half the time you don’t get it. It seems very random. I think blogger only tells you in comments on the blog as far as I can remember.

I’m working on the Feed problem now. I think the blog and Feedburner have stopped speaking to one another, and I have NO idea how to fix it, but I’m working on it.
You’ve probably had this answer already, but it’s early morning for me and I can’t be bothered to look. I never get the responses, and I use G-mail (and log in as my Google account). Good luck with it.
