  1. Donna says:

I hate, hate, HATE Barnes & Noble!!!! I popped in to pick up a copy of “Unraveled”, & guess what I found in the “new” releases? “Unclaimed”. REALLY?! Not a copy of “Unraveled” to be had. They weren’t sold out; they just didn’t have it. Borders, oh Borders, how I miss you.

  2. Donna says:

Oh, and instead I am reading “The Dovekeepers” by Alice Hoffman. It is AWESOME!

  3. SB Sarah says:

Donna, I don’t know if Unraveled will be released in print. I think it’s digital-only.

  4. So, please share: what are you reading this weekend?

Just Surrender… by Kathleen O’Reilly (A Harlequin Blaze title)

An Imprudent Lady , by Elaine Golden (A Harlequin novella eBook)

I’m enjoying both. I’m going to check out Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas when it gets to my library. I might have to buy Dangerous Books For Girls: The Bad Reputation Of Romance Novels Explained by Maya Rodale as an eBook from Amazon. It is only 99 cents. Really…I got more books than time to read. lol.

  5. Brian says:

It’s in print @ Amazon and CreateSpace as a POD trade.

  6. Donna says:

ARGHHHHHH!!!!! And thanks for the info Brianm unfortunately this will now have to wait until after the New Year.

  7. Gabrielle says:

I just finished All Things Beautiful by Cathy Maxwell.  It’s not new (2004).  Most of hers are nice but forgettable but this one left me with “good book afterglow”…  you know, where it’s so good you don’t want to read another romance for a while.  Ruined lady of good breeding, new money hero in trade, evil family; honest writing that makes an old trope fresh.

  8. Heather says:

I just picked up “Red’s Hot Cowboy” by Carolyn Brown. I got “Darn Good Cowboy Christmas” (also by CB) because I wanted something Christmas-themed and really, who doesn’t love a hunky cowboy?

  9. Heather says:

Donna, I feel your pain. I went looking for “Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage” by Kieran Kramer and they didn’t have it on the shelf. It had been out for at least a couple of weeks by then, and it was still back in their stock room. XI I’m really not a fan of Barnes and Noble and usually buy my books secondhand at Half Price Books or the independent used bookstore where I work.

  10. Donna says:

While I love HPB, you can’t count on what you want being in stock, especially new releases. And the whole e-format only thing, isn’t that something the “helpful” clerk who told me they didn’t have it could’ve mentioned? OK, now I feel a rant coming on so I’d better stop.

  11. Kirsten says:

I just zoomed through the first three Lily Dale books by Wendy Corsi Staub. They are YA supernaturals set in Lily Dale, New York, which is the birthplace of spiritualism, and I had read a great nonfiction book by Christine Wicker about it. The first three were available as ebooks for 2.99, but the fourth is almost ten bucks, so… maybe the library?

  12. lisa pomales says:

@ sarah do you know if they might release unraveled on mp3 audio?

  13. Brian says:

@Lisa according to Cortney Milan there is a chance she might.  Unlocked is going to be in audio for sure…

  14. susanblexrud says:

I’m reading EIKAL for the book club I lead at Malaprop’s Bookstore in downtown Asheville.  Sarah, how about a trip to the mountains in February to join us?  The club meets at 7 pm on February 21.
