Hanukkah, Day Two - More Digital Reading!

Hey, want a Sony Reader? Sure, why not?

Time for Day TWO of the Hanukkah Madness, wherein there's eight days of mayhem up in here, and you can win prizes. Eventually I'm going to get to the end of my prize stash and someone will win a box of blank CDs and a post it note or something – but not today!

Today the prize is a Sony Reader WiFi, known by its friends as the PRS-T1RC, or “The RC” for short. The RC stands for Really Cool. Among the other Sony Readers, the PRS-T1RC is the one who stands a bit aloof, is always dressed in the most sartorial elegance, and is the first to get invited to any group party, even if they're all going to Big Lots to buy Cat Litter.

*It doesn't always drink beer, though. In fact, it doesn't have a mouth so it doesn't drink beer.

But the PRS-T1RC can be yours if you leave a comment and tell me which book gets loaded on first. The RC stands ready to hold a crapton of books from all different sources, including Your Local Library. It will NOT come pre-loaded with Nicholas Sparks. Sorry.

Standard disclaimers apply. I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 to win, and also wearing platform shoes. Open to international entries. Winner announced tomorrow morning. Measure twice, cut once.

So bring it on: which book goes on first, if you win The RC? Happy Hanukkah, everyone!

    Terry Odell says:

The first book I’d load would be Deadly Secrets by Terry Odell. After that, I’d add Cindy Gerard’s entire back list.

  2. 2

Devil’s Bride. Because that’s my most recent purchase from the Sony store (I think…if it went through) :D

    meopta says:

No Nicholas Sparks? (sobs) I would load EIKAL first, of COURSE! (Um, if I was sucking up.)

I’d probably REALLY load “The Name of This Book Is Secret” because the 2nd grader just started hogging the e-readers.

    StacieH4 says:

First book for me would be Command Performance from Nora Roberts.  I’ve read it a million times…it just hits all the right notes for me.  I’m so excited the e-version will be released in January.  Thanks again for the fabulous giveaway opportunity!

I think I’d have to put a really badass book on there in order to balance out the Nicholas Sparks. Nice ereader!

  6. 6
    Jenny Dolton says:

I’d probably go with Pride and Prejudice. Or possibly Lord of the Rings. My happiness is dependant upon regular re-readings.

  7. 7
    Deb G. says:

Shadowborn, by Allison Sinclair! I’m rereading Darkborn right now so that I can remember the story before getting to Lightborn, the second in the series. So original!

  8. 8

Outlander, probably, tho am re-reading Devil’s Bride right now (I’ve probably already read it at least 10 times and was STILL up till 4:30 AM!) so that would def be near the top…

  9. 9
    Jennifer says:

the first book i would load is EIKAL, which I have on order from my local library (in fact they are buying it at my request, and already a number of other library members have reserved it)

    Charli Denae says:

Happy Hanukkah, Sarah! Thanks for the chance to win the Sony eReader. If I won, I think the first book I would load on it would be the new one coming out by Deirdre Martin, Breakaway. I just love those hunky hockey players of hers. I’ve read the whole series… my guilty pleasure!! :o)

  11. 11
    Bungluna says:

I woud load “Memory” by Louise MacMaster Bujold first.  Then I would load the rest of her books, plus the ‘nteen thousand other series I follow and re-read once a year in advance of the new installment coming out.

  12. 12
    Brenda C says:

Bujold’s Vorkosigan series, definitely. They’re keepers and I like having them with me always.

  13. 13
    Amitatuq says:

Hmmm…probably Whispers in the Dark by Maya Banks.  I’m really looking forward to that one coming out.  Or Tessa Dare’s Spindle Cove series.  I got the novella but my book budget is DOA so I haven’t been able to get the first one yet.

  14. 14
    Nadia says:

Since I’ve yet to read any Stephanie Laurens (I know, how is that possible?) and Devil’s Bride is on special, I would probably give that a go.

  15. 15
    Amy P. says:

The first book is Jennifer Crusie “Welcome to Temptation” and then “Faking It”.  I have been doing a re-read of all her books and I laugh every single time!!!  I’m so easy!

  16. 16
    Stoirin says:

Death Comes to Pemberly by PD James…  can’t wait to read it!!  :-)  Hopefully on the most “interesting digital reader in the world”!

  17. 17
    GrowlyCub says:

First on would be my Baloghs, Putneys, Beverleys, and assorted other keepers.  I lost my 505 earlier this year and I’m still mourning it deeply.  Would love to have another one!

  18. 18
    Hydecat says:

First on would be Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl. I’ve been itching to read it, and since my husband and I are about to open our own brewery, that would be the coolest way ever to celebrate.

  19. 19
    Lisa J says:

First book, it’s too hard to pick just one, but I’ll say Saving Grace by Julie Garwood, and then Tame My Wild Touch by Donna Fletcher, then all of the Psy/Changeling series by Nalini Singh.

  20. 20
    Dwndrgn says:

I’m thinking something from Loretta Chase, one of the Scoundrels perhaps?

  21. 21
    JennEllen says:

Darkfever.  I keep hearing how great the series is. So it’s on the top of list to read next. Now to find the time!

  22. 22
    Cat says:

First book would be ‘The Hobbit’. It’s still a year until the first movie and I’m already far too excited about it.

  23. 23
    Gigi says:

Hooray for Hannukah! First on my list would be everything by Nora Roberts.I never get tired of rereading her books.Oh,Roarke :)

Lisa Kleypas’s backlist to tide me over until her new book comes out in February.

  25. 25
    zvi LikesTV says:

Comfort reading; first thing would be the entire Anita Blake series by Laurel K. Hamilton. There’s something about a mean girl with a gun that settles me down whenever I’m upset.

  26. 26

Three Fates by Nora Roberts.  It is my absolute favorite book, and I currently own it in epub form, so I can only read it on my computer because the kindle doesn’t like epub.

  27. 27
    Turtle says:

Definitely Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie.  Just got the digital version :)

  28. 28
    Jenyfer says:

The Next Always by Nora Roberts. She’s my favorite go-to comfort author but she’s so prolific I don’t have the shelf space to collect all of her books! Ebooks=perfect solution :)

  29. 29
    ms bookjunkie says:

Carla Kelly’s Harlequin Historicals. I read THE ADMIRAL’S PENNILESS BRIDE and I am now totally hooked.

  30. 30
    Nora Bear says:

I’ve never thought about owning a reader so I’m not sure. Since I’m considering re-read Marion Zimmer Bradley, perhaps her entire bibliography! Bet it’s pretty cheap.
