Hanukkah, Day Three - Puzzle Bugaloo!

Hey, look! Puzzles! Harlequin VINTAGE puzzles! How fun is that?

I have a secret love of doing jigsaw puzzles. I rarely have the time to sit and do one, but once we get started I have the best time. So imagine my glee when Harlequin sent me a collection of their new Harlequin puzzles.

See? Aren't they cute?

Each one is 1000 pieces, and each features some awesome old-skool Harlequin art, like the covers for Where the Wolf Leads and Murder Man – and my fave, Message from a Corpse.

So today we have THREE prizes. Three winners will get a puzzle, AND a $50 gift card to the bookstore of their choosing. You know, so you can read and do puzzles at the same time, because that totally works.

I do ship internationally, so overseas entries are welcome. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 to win. Call toll free before digging. PC LOAD LETTER.

Terrarium, lamp, and clown toy in picture not included (how the hell would I mail a terrarium, I do NOT know).

All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me which book you'd like to buy should you win a bookstore gift card, and you're entered to win. You've got about 24 hours – ready set go!

I’d like to get Amanda Quick’s SCANDAL in e. I have it as a mmpb (packed away) but the convenience of my favorite comfort reads on a digital device is only overcome by ridiculous pricing…

  2. Jan Lo says:

I love jigsaw puzzles and I would buy the latest J. D. Robb In Death book coming out in February. Happy Holidays everyone.

  3. Manda F. says:

I would buy Tessa Dare’s A Night To Surrender. I read the novella from the series, Once Upon A Winter’s Eve, earlier this week and now I’d really like to know what happened in the first novel.

  4. Anna says:

Oh, I have a list of books I want, although I’d probably wait until after Christmas just to be sure I hadn’t already received any of my top wanted books.  At the top of the list, though, is the Newsflesh trilogy by Mira Grant.

  5. kkw says:

I was just looking at art books at the Strand and they have the big Morandi compendium for only $56, which is a good price for the book, but still bad for me. $6 I could maybe part with (although maybe not, I went a little crazy at the cheese store today. and the candy store. and…).

  6. Erica H says:

Puzzles and books can it get any better?

  7. Cathy MacDonald says:

I would love to buy Joey W Hill’s latest, Bound by the Vampire Queen.

  8. dnneal says:

Hmm..it’s a toss up between Lothaire-Kresley Cole or Fair Game-Patricia Briggs.  Probably the Cole because I’ve been waiting longer for it.

  9. Wendy says:

    Heart of Steel

  10. Copa says:

Linda Howard Heart of Fire, I love that book but am not willing to pay 7.99 for digital as I already have it in paperback, but oh a girl can dream of gift-card induced craziness.

  11. Maya S. says:

My mom and I both want to read Stephen King’s 11/22/63, so I’d probably get that so we can both enjoy it.  And maybe I’ll buy her “A Game of Thrones” so she can give ti a try.

  12. Tin Ong says:

    Those are really nice puzzles!

I’d get my sister the new Kresley Cole (the only romance series she follows)—then I’d get my husband the new Haruki Murakami for Christmas …

And will probably spend the rest on new romance authors who are debuting this month or January.

  13. PamG says:

I’d put An Affair with Mr. Kennedy on pre-order and buy myself all three of Madeleine Robins’s wonderful Sarah Tolerance mysteries.

  14. Darlynne says:

Meljean Brook’s Heart of Steel. Thanks for the opportunity.

  15. Ashley Leann says:

I would buy Scoundrel by Zoe Archer. I havn’t read it yet, but I’ve heard amazing things about it.

  16. cyclops8 says:

I would buy Suzanne Collins’ “The Hunger Games.”

  17. Amanda M Garlock says:

Definitely something by Tessa Dare.  Just read the first Spindle Cove book and when I got to the Old Spice Man reference, I ran into the bathroom where my boyfriend was showering and read it to him.  I don’t think he found it as funny as I did.  So from then on, I kept my giggling to myself.  Which is to say, he could hear me across the hall.

  18. Vandy Jones says:

I think I’d go for the new Nora Roberts, The Next Always.

  19. Qwill says:

I can’t pick just one! I’d love to get Diana Rowland’s Sins of the Demons plus about 50 other books.

  20. Alpha Lyra says:

I would buy Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones. Loved the first book, still need to read this one.

  21. Tanya Duhon says:

Hmmm, so many choices, but how about Maya Banks ‘Whispers in the Dark’

  22. Integgy says:

I love puzzles. I don’t do them very often anymore though, because I’m worried that one of the cats will jump up on the table and knock the nicely sorted pieces off.

I think the book I’d buy with the giftcard would have to be First Grave on the Right. I’ve been putting off getting it, because I’m cutting back on my Agency pubbed purchases (for personal and for budgetary reasons), but it’s been on my wishlist for ages, so I should probably get it off there.

  23. Aurora85 says:

Hmm I think I’d buy Bridge of Scarlet Leaves and White Pearl should I win. But I know I won’t. Both are coming out next year but they should be amazing reads! I love jigsaw puzzles as well haha.

  24. Deb G says:

Hmmmmm….I’d curious about Diana Gabaldon’s Lord John series, so maybe the first one of those. I never keep a running list of things to buy, just let the whim take me instead. 🙂

  25. Debbie says:

I’d like to get the new Lisa Kleypas!

  26. I would glom all the Beverly Jenkins back catalog that I can get on the Kindle, and the new Eloise James when it comes out.

  27. Dharma says:

Nora Roberts’ latest book.  It Christmas and usually Santa puts a book in my stocking.  But I know he’s putting the Kindle Fire in there instead!

  28. ducky says:

I want to buy Lisa Kleypas’ upcoming book….

  29. tezzkatt says:

I think first I would by Zoe Archer’s Devil’s Kiss, I’ve been meaning to pick that up.  I have so many things on my wishlist though. The gift card would be used up quickly 😉

  30. Angie G says:

I’m looking forward to the new Lisa Kleypas book that is coming soon. I’ve also got an eye out for the new Christine Feehan book that releases in a few days. Happy New Reading Year to all of us!!!

  31. Sybylla says:

    Probably Kresley Cole’s Lothaire.

  32. StacieH4 says:

I would probably get Nora’s latest or Joanna Bourne’s books.

  33. Marc says:

Demon Bait by Moira Rogers and Lothaire by Kresley Cole

  34. jepeb68 says:

My wish list is officially stupid huge so picking on is difficult.  Shannon Stacey, Jennifer Estep, and Suzanne Brockmann are all authors I am trying to finish their entire backlists.  So probably a few books from those authors.

  35. Julia says:

I’d buy Unveiled by Courtney Milan. Just started the series after reading about it so much!

  36. Cino says:

Trouble at the Wedding by Laura Lee Guhrke.  I’m really loving this abandoned at the altar series.

  37. Gigi says:

I’m with Lisa J, Lothaire by Kresley Cole. I hate it when I get hooked on a series that starts out in paperback and then moves to hardcover. It’s great for the author but kinda sucks for moms who hesitate to buy stuff for themselves.Oh heck, who am I kidding? Ramen for everyone ‘cause Momma needs a KC fix!! 🙂

  38. The Capture of the Earl of Glencrae by Stephanie Laurens. I do love those Cynsters!

  39. Katy M says:

An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon. I’d like to get the whole Outlander series in ebook so I don’t further destroy my print versions.

  40. susan says:

I don’t even know where to start—so many to catch up on.
