Hanukkah, Day Three - Puzzle Bugaloo!

Hey, look! Puzzles! Harlequin VINTAGE puzzles! How fun is that?

I have a secret love of doing jigsaw puzzles. I rarely have the time to sit and do one, but once we get started I have the best time. So imagine my glee when Harlequin sent me a collection of their new Harlequin puzzles.

See? Aren't they cute?

Each one is 1000 pieces, and each features some awesome old-skool Harlequin art, like the covers for Where the Wolf Leads and Murder Man – and my fave, Message from a Corpse.

So today we have THREE prizes. Three winners will get a puzzle, AND a $50 gift card to the bookstore of their choosing. You know, so you can read and do puzzles at the same time, because that totally works.

I do ship internationally, so overseas entries are welcome. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 to win. Call toll free before digging. PC LOAD LETTER.

Terrarium, lamp, and clown toy in picture not included (how the hell would I mail a terrarium, I do NOT know).

All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me which book you'd like to buy should you win a bookstore gift card, and you're entered to win. You've got about 24 hours – ready set go!

Tough choice . . . I would probably preorder the new Molly Harper, though, since she’s number one on my autobuy list. The rest of the gift card would go towards John Julius Norwich’s History of Byzantium—a weird choice, yeah, but it’s what my family reads every year during the holidays, and now that I’m living on my own, nostalgia is where you find it. 😀

  2. Lasjobergg says:

I would get the last book in Victoria Dahl’s latest series (can’t remember the title for the life of me at the moment – gak!).

  3. appomattoxco says:

I’d go for The Duke Is Mine first

  4. Melissandre says:

I need to keep reading Meljean Brook’s series, so I’d probably get Demon Moon (at the very least).

  5. Sally says:

I would earmark it for the new Dana Stabenow Kate Shugak book coming out in February.  She’s one of the very few authors I will pay hardcover prices for.

  6. Donna says:

Decisions, decisions decisions… I might maybe be able to hold out for that last Guardian book from Meljean Brook, but in the spirit of the prize I will point out that while I loathe B&N, they do carry Ravensburger puzzles. I have one with 3500 pieces that covers all but about 9” of my diningroom table and I’d love another one.

  7. Auntie Kristin says:

    The new Courtney Milan

  8. Laura (in PA) says:

I would probably buy The Pajama Girls of Lambert Square, something by Jane Graves (I keep meaning to read her), and How to Knit A Love Song by Rachael Herron. And 50 other things that come to mind. Man, that $50 would go quick.

Thanks for doing this Sarah. You’re the bestest.

  9. Julie in AZ says:

The Daemon Prism by Carol Berg.  I can hardly wait for the last installment of her most recent trilogy.

  10. Corina says:

I might pre-order the new Suzanne Brockmann paranormal because I’m really curious what she does in that area and I love having books I’d forgotten ordering show up on my Kindle when they’re released. Also puzzles are SUCH a holiday staple in my family. I’d love to watch my 83 year-old grandfather to working on a clinch cover puzzle instead of one featuring soaring eagles or some such nonsense.

  11. Muddler53 says:

OOooh, jigsaw puzzle and book money! I would buy The Slayer, by Theresa Meyers, and probably a quilting book.  Because I’m wild like that.

  12. VI says:

There are so many books that I want to buy – especially Angels’ Flight and Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh. And the new Patricia Briggs. And optionally a time-machine too if anyone’s selling it.

  13. Ellie Ashe says:

I’d buy the next books in the Darkfever series by Karen Moning, because thanks to all the commenters at this site, I bought the first book and now I’m hopelessly hooked. Thanks for the contest! Happy holidays!

  14. Jill Baird says:

I would also pre-order the new Sharon Shinn novel. I can’t wait to read it! And I love puzzles, especially old skool romance puzzles.

  15. Cat says:

I’d buy the latest Bernard Cornwell novel. Nothing like basking in the feeling of having finally managed to buy all the books by an author only to find out he has a new one coming out the next month.

  16. quidling says:

I’d buy the last Jaz Parks book, The Deadliest Bite, and then preorder Fair Game by Patricia Briggs.

  17. ClaudiaGC says:

I love doing puzles, too! I’d buy the Cecilia Grant book!
    Thank you for this giveaway!

  18. A Touch of Frost and Web of Lies, both by Jennifer Estep.

  19. cayenne says:

I’ve been hearing so much good stuff about Cecilia Grant’s “A Lady Awakened” that it’s at the top of my to-buy list on Dec 27 (and it’s a long list – big release day!).  Plus puzzles are awesome.

  20. maered says:

I will be buying lots but Lothaire by Kresley Cole is defintely on the list.

  21. Bleulucy says:

A real book?! I’d an unKindled Judith Ivory- like Bliss or Dance.

  22. MissB2U says:

I’d buy the 2012 releases from any or all of the following:  Kalayna Price (Grave Memory – the Alex Craft series), Kim Harrison (A Perfect Blood), Shannon K. Butcher (Dying Wish) or anything by Meljean Brooks.

  23. Rij says:

Tough question. Maybe Ilona Andrew’s On the Edge. I’ve been meaning to try something of hers for a while now but something else always comes between me and one of her books.

  24. garlicknitter says:

$50 gift card? I’d buy a bunch of books! Unclaimed by Courtney Milan, something by Victoria Dahl, maybe something by Nalini Singh or Karen Marie Moning, and a knitting book.  At least.

  25. Karen says:

I’d start with the newest Jill Shalvis!

  26. Traci M says:

So many choices. I’m going to have to go with Emily March’s Lover’s Leap.

  27. Heather says:

I think I might save it til summer when Nalini Singh’s Tangle of Need comes out. Those hardbacks are expensive!

  28. Henofthewoods says:

The Informant by Thomas Perry. (latest sequel to the Butcher’s Boy.) It costs $14.98 now, down from 27.00, but that is still more than I really want to pay unless I am using found-money.
There are 43 books on my wish-list at Books on Board and I haven’t been looking at what will come out next.

  29. jenica says:

I finally got an ereader and would like to continue stocking Julie Garwood’s backlist!

  30. Karenmc says:

Oh man, I’d buy Bourne’s The Black Hawk now and save some gift card goodness for Duran’s At Your Pleasure in the spring.

  31. Andrea says:

Hmm, that is a tough choice…I guess I would take a look at my wishlist and then decide on whatever appeals to me at that moment. But I have been eyeing Josh Lanyon’s Adrien English series, so I guess that just might be it. Or I might get a “real” book, something I haven’t done for quite some time and get the first of Pamela Clare’s historicals.

  32. Jane Peach says:

I never have any shortage of books to buy.  The new Eloisa James and Julie Anne Long books both are calling my name, or maybe I’d preorder the new Deborah Harkness.  Love the old skool Harlequin covers – makes me nostalgic for a re-read.

  33. Patricia says:

I would buy either 11/22/63 by Stephen King or The Steampunk Bible.

  34. Delia says:

I would by Habibi by Craig Thompson. It’s a graphic novel and I’v never read one. Hear it’s fabulous though

  35. LSUReader says:

I’d like to buy Julie Anne Long’s How the Marquess was Won. Fun contest.  Thanks so much.

  36. meganhwa says:

    puzzles i like puzzles

i like books too…hmm which to buy first though – i’m open to suggestions

  37. Kristy B says:

There are so many I’d like to read, but in honor of my sister who directed me here, I think I’d buy Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews, since she’s been bugging me to read it forever!

  38. Nicolette says:

I am absolutely dying to put the next Patricia Briggs book on preorder, but my book buying budget just got eliminated for the next 3 months, unless I’m very lucky.

  39. worthafortune says:

I’ve been holding off on Heart of Steel for quite a while hoping that I will be able to make a nest over this winter break and devour it. So that is exactly what I would buy!

  40. Twilaking says:

The Search by Nora Roberts. ;-).
