Hanukkah, Day Four - It’s Nook Time!

Merry Christmas Eve, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Traveling and Eating Day for Everyone! I hope you have time to read today.

The Fourth Day of Hanukkah brings: NOOK! A nook Touch, all for you.

Now, sometimes, I have heard, if you bring your nook into a local Barnes & Noble, coupons magically appear. So, tell me, which coupon would you MOST like to appear (feel free to Get Insane here, because it's not like BN's Coupon Development Team is going to take this seriously) on your nook, and you're entered to win.

Usual disclaimers apply. I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. Your mileage may vary. Wear a helmet. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 and over and wearing a touque to win. My understanding is that the nook does not work outside the US/Canada, so unless you plan to hack it and make it work in your locality, I think this has to be US/Canada only. My apologies.

You've got about 24 hours to enter, so let's get coupon crazy. My coupon choice: “You are eligible for ALL OF THE CHOCOLATE. Go get it.”

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas everyone!

Congratulations! You have won 4 hours of guilt-free downloading and unlimited lending capability! This gift comes with a simulacrum to take your place so that your family thinks you are home washing the dishes, an alpha male to rub the knots out of your shoulders, and all the starbucks you can drink. Thank you for shopping Barnes and Noble. (hey it’s my holiday too!)

  2. Amanda says:

My coupon would be for: Babysitting and husband muting provided by B&N while reading any books purchased from B&N.  I’ll happily pay for the books if I can just have time to read them…  😉

  3. ‘You have 7 days to do whatever you want. Days do not have to be used consecutively. Chocolate included each day.’

Fellow parents will understand the value of this coupon 😉

  4. Artesia says:

I just have to add that I would love a shopping spree, so many minutes to get as many books as I can…wow. That would be amazing!!

  5. Integgy says:

Hmm, the best coupon would have to be “Free Starbucks for life.” Yep, I can’t resist ALL THE FREE COFFEE, and as much as so many people have a hate-on for Starbucks, at least I know I’d be able to use my coupon pretty much anywhere.

  6. Ana Silva says:

My magical coupon would be a version of the Gold Ticken in “Last Action Hero”. Instead of being dragged into a bad 90s action flick, I’d be dragged into my favourite novel: Nightwatch, here I come!

  7. JennyME says:

It’s hard to choose one way to be greedy about books…I’ll go with buy one, get the backlist free, even out of print books and books written under other pseudonyms (which I realize makes no sense).

I would like my coupon to say:
Congratulations you are winner of the All Access Coupon—free coffee at the B&N cafe for life & 50% discount on cheesecake.  But that’s not all—B&N want you to be a happy reader & music listener so we’re offering you 1 hour to queue for download all the e-books you can & one free e-book of your choice a month for a year.  Plus, 50% your music purchase for the day. Happy Hanukkah! From your friends at B&N.

  9. Sarah Shorter says:

Redeem for one Book Boyfriend of your choice: B&N will bring to life one hero of your choice to be yours unto perpetuity. Choose wisely: Do you really want to be stuck with Edward Cullen? Perhaps you’ll go traditional with Mr. Darcy, dark and brooding with Mr. Rochester, adorable with Laurie from Little Women, funny with any of Christopher Moore’s characters, or modern and space-traveling with Arthur Dent or Zaphod Beeblebrox? Maybe just give in to the inner nerd and pick Snape, Harry, Lupin, or Sirius. So many choices. Which will you pick? NOTE: B&N is not responsible for ripped bodices, heaving bosoms, and frowns upon you getting it on in the store. At least wait till you get to the car.

  10. Bookluvr4life says:

All books in your library are now lendable! I hate not being able to loan any book I want like I can with paper copies, and so do my friends bc we can’t trade as after now 🙁

  11. Oh… hrm… how about priority parking, free coffee, and a free book every time I come in?

  12. PamG says:

  13. Martin 83 says:

My coupon would be for all of the Carmel Mocha Vodka Valium Latte’s on any given day! Seriously though, my coupon would be for the opportunity to get as many books as I can within a 3 hour time period.

  14. Deb G. says:

Backlist! Backlist! It would be the best coupon ever!
